Athletics Carnival

Congratulations to all students who participated in the Small Schools Athletics Carnival held at Turner Park. Infants students enjoyed a range of fun games and activities alongside students from neighbouring schools, while primary students competed enthusiastically in a variety of track and field events throughout the day. Congratulations to the following students who have qualified for the Zone Athletics Carnival, which will be held on 14th August at Maitland Athletics Centre. Children's University

Students participating in Children’s University are excited about our upcoming visit to the University of Newcastle City Campus on Wednesday, 24th June. As a reminder, students will need to be at school by 8:20am and bring food and drinks in their backpacks for the day. There are still seats available on the bus for any parents or carers who would like to join us for this exciting experience. There will be another Children’s University Learning Passport update on Thursday 2nd July, which will be the final opportunity for students to update their passports this term. Thank you to Mr Hemsworth and Miss Bailey for generously giving up their time to share their lifelong learning journeys with students during our recent Learning Lunches.

Top Blokes and Empowered Girls Programs

We are nearing the conclusion of our Stage 3 Top Blokes and Empowered Girls programs, with students thoroughly enjoying the engaging activities and meaningful discussions throughout the term. Information has been shared via School Bytes regarding the graduation ceremony, and we warmly invite parents and carers of participating students to attend. The graduations will be held at school on Tuesday 30th June from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.

Premier's Spelling Bee

Well done to all students who competed in our school Spelling Bees. It was great to see so many students participate and develop their spelling skills in a fun and encouraging environment. Congratulations to our two winners, Felicity (Stage 2) and Abel (Stage 3), who will now go on to represent our school in the Regional Finals, to be held early in Term 3.

PSSA Tennis Competition

Congratulations to our PSSA Tennis team, who recently competed in a quarter-final match against Singleton Public School. Students displayed excellent skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day and represented Mulbring Public School with pride. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the positive way they conducted themselves both on and off the court.

PSSA Basketball

Best of luck to our school basketball team, who will be competing in the PSSA Basketball Knockout Competition on Tuesday 23rd June at Maitland Basketball Stadium. Students are required to arrive at the venue by 8:30am, with our first game scheduled to begin at 8:50am against Shortland Public School. The team is expected to play a number of games throughout the day. We wish all players the very best of luck and look forward to hearing about their efforts on the court.

PSSA Soccer

Students are very excited about the upcoming Soccer Gala Day on Thursday 25th June at Speers Point Sporting Complex, where our Mulbring PS team will play two games. Please refer to School Bytes for information regarding the day and what students will need to bring to participate. Good Luck Mulbring.

Kurri Kurri High School - Year 6 Transition

Students attending Kurri Kurri High School in 2027 recently participated in a Transition Day, where they had the opportunity to tour the school, meet staff, and begin building connections with future classmates as part of the transition process. A reminder that applications for the Year 7 Enrichment Class are now open. This program provides students with a valuable opportunity to extend and challenge their learning. Year 6 Fundraising - Pizza Day

Year 6 are thrilled to be hosting a Pizza Day to celebrate the end of Term 2 on Friday 3rd July. Orders can be placed via School Bytes, and all family members are welcome to join us for lunch. Please have orders in by Friday 26th June 2026. As part of the celebrations, students are invited to dress up with the theme “twinning” for this special day. Students who do not wish to participate in twinning can wear colourful casual clothing instead. Thank you for supporting our Year 6 fundraising efforts, including raising $65 from the recent State of Origin out-of-uniform day.

Year 6 Fundraiser

This Friday we will be showing our support of the socceroos with an out of uniform day. Please wear something green or gold(yellow). This does not need to be a complete outfit, it can be as little as a yellow or green ribbon, please don't go out and buy an outfit.
