Patriots Day Parade Brings the Community Together

The City of Laguna Beach recently celebrated another successful Patriots Day Parade, with residents and visitors lining the streets to enjoy the tradition and community spirit.

A special thank you to our Public Works and Police Departments for the extensive work that made the event possible. From pre-event setup and signage to parking coordination, event security, waste management, and efficient post-event cleanup, their dedication ensured a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Request for Qualifications

The City of Laguna Beach Arts Commission is accepting qualification materials from artists and artist teams with demonstrated experience in designing, creating, and installing site-responsive public art. Applicants will be considered for an installation at a new City Fire Station, which is expected to be completed in 2028.

Registration is Now Open for the ASICS Laguna Beach Trophy Invitational!

The ASICS Laguna Beach Trophy Invitational is set to return to Laguna Beach High School, March 20–21.

Field events will take place on Friday, March 20, followed by track events on Saturday, March 21. Teams are invited to register now and secure their spot in this premier track and field event.

Entries are open through Sunday, March 15 at 11:59 p.m., with accepted entries announced on Monday, March 16 by noon- Friday meet time: 1:00 PM-9:00 PM - Saturday meet time: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM (races start at 7:30 am)

Emergency Alert Test - Next Tuesday!

The City of Laguna Beach will be conducting a public test of the Outdoor Warning System next Tuesday, March 24th at 4:00 pm. The test will emit a loud siren and alert message on the 23 speakers/sirens throughout the city and should last approximately one minute.

Sarah Limones Recognized as a “Women Making a Difference in Orange County” Honoree

Our Emergency Operations Coordinator, Sarah Limones, was recognized by Katrina Foley and the Orange County Board of Supervisors as a recipient of the “Women Making a Difference in Orange County” award.

This recognition highlights Sarah’s leadership in emergency preparedness, evacuation planning, and disaster readiness, as well as her efforts to strengthen Laguna Beach’s emergency management programs and regional partnerships. The award honors women across the Fifth District who are making meaningful contributions to their communities.

This is a season of promotions and growth within the department. Annual Low Cost Neuter/Spray Program Sponsored by PUP Laguna Beach

Requirements:

  • Must be a Laguna Beach or Laguna Woods resident (proof of residency required).
  • Maximum of two vouchers per household.
  • If purchasing a voucher for a K-9, the dog must be currently licensed with Laguna Beach or Laguna Woods. A license may be purchased at the time of voucher purchase if proof of a valid rabies vaccination is provided.
  • Cash or check only.
  • The last day to purchase a voucher is March 31, 2026. Procedures will take place in April.
  • Participating veterinarians are Laguna Beach Animal Hospital and Laguna Beach Animal Medical Center.

* Residents may not choose the veterinarian. The surgery performed will be a traditional canine/feline castration or ovariohysterectomy.

New Business Spotlight: Sea Love Laguna Beach located on Forest Avenue

The City is pleased to announce the recent opening of Sea Love Laguna Beach, located at 384 Forest Avenue. Sea Love joined the downtown earlier this month, offering a boutique retail experience focused on fragrance and personalized home goods. The establishment features an interactive "scent bar" where patrons can participate in the creation of custom fragrance blends and candles. The City welcomes Sea Love to the downtown and encourages residents to learn more by visiting their website or stopping by their location. Art That's Small Exhibition

The 2026 Art That's Small exhibit is currently on view at Laguna Beach City Hall through April 17, 2026, and greets visitors with artworks no larger than 12” x 12” in a wide range of media, including painting, photography, drawing, and mixed media.

The Arts Commission has selected the winning designs for the 2026 Banner Competitions!

Congratulations to the selected artists: India Hynes, Lovisa Kjerrgren, Hilary McCarthy, Shaney Watters, Jennifer Griffiths, Amy Rose Hammond, and Micahel Phillips.

Their work will soon be featured on banners installed at Main Beach and inside the City’s Council Chambers.
