Nearly 200 members of the 138th Mission Support Group participated in Operation Buffalo Stampede at Camp Gruber, Braggs, Okla, Aug. 7-10, 2023.

During the exercise, Airmen completed an obstacle course, rappel tower, and participated in education on topics including land navigation and humvee operations.

The purpose of this event was to enhance collective Airmanship skill sets and cultivate a strong sense of esprit-de-corps within the 138th MSG team. Through focused training lanes, Airmen sharpened their skills, lead from the front, and ensured that all members were able to excel in their respective roles.

“It is a rare opportunity for the Mission Support Group to travel off base as one team,” said Senior Master Sgt. Thomas Enyart, 138th CES emergency manager. “We took full advantage of this invaluable opportunity to train together and strengthened our operational readiness and professional excellence.”

Tulsa Air National Guard Base is a no-drone zone at all times. Launching, landing or operating unmanned, remote-controlled drones or model rockets, on or over the installation, is prohibited at all times. Many drone and unmanned aircraft systems, or UAS, users may not know that they inadvertently pose a threat to military operations. In accordance with Title 10 U.S.C. § 130i, the operation of drones, model aircraft, model rockets and other UAS, on or over the installation is prohibited. This prohibition includes civic, commercial and privately owned drones. Strict airspace rules also apply off-installation. Unmanned aircraft systems cannot interfere with flight operations at the 138th Fighter Wing and Tulsa International Airport. Operators who violate the airspace restrictions may be subject to enforcement action, including potential civil penalties and criminal charges. All UAS activities within the U.S. must follow appropriate FAA regulations and guidelines. Drone activity outside FAA rules and guidelines is considered an unauthorized activity. UAS operators should take the time to become acquainted with policies, laws and other directives before operating a UAS. Drone operators can also download the free B4Ufly app at https://www.faa.gov/uas/getting_started/b4ufly for more information about the specifics of flying a UAS off-installation. This app shows a user’s current location and informs them of notifications you need to make to local airfields.
