What we learned:
Understanding the large shifts that can create a "ripple effect" throughout the organizations layers can be offset by taking smaller bites at a time using strategic models.

Throughout time there have been ways to analyze businesses. There are a wide array of dynamics that are at play at any given moment but understanding where the organization stands and where the organization wants to be can be narrowed down by areas seperated by
Utilizing organizational comprehension tools can allow for a slower change. We don't want to cause a ripple in the pond to grow into a tsunami-sized wave. What's one thing no one likes: Change. When changing a portion of the organization, you will have resistors and setbacks. Understanding the basis of these setbacks can create a shift towards the better, rather than the undesired.

Value Chain Analysis
The Value Chain Anakysis is used to evaluate the internal workings of a company. It is used to identify competitive advantages, optimize efficiency, and maximize profitability. It is split in two. 1. Primary Activities- Directly involved in the product. This includes in-bound logistics (receiving, warehousing, inventory management etc.), operations, outbound logistics (distributing, packaging, shipping etc.), sales, marketing and service. 2. Supportive Activities- increases efficiency of primary activities. This includes fetting materials, human resource management, and firm infrastructure. The benefits are increased profits, enhanced competitive edge, companies are better able to use their resources, and improved customer relations.

PESTLE
Political and legal rules set the boundaries for what an organization can do, while economic conditions influence whether customers spend money or hold back. Social trends affect what people expect from companies, both as workers and consumers. Technology pushes organizations to constantly adapt so they don’t fall behind, and environmental concerns force them to think more sustainably. Altogether, these factors create the external environment every organization has to navigate, no matter the industry.
SWOT
A SWOT analysis helps show what an organization is working with internally and what it’s up against externally. Strengths highlight what the organization already does well, while weaknesses show the areas that hold it back. Opportunities come from things happening outside the organization, like new markets or technology, that could help it grow. Threats are external risks that could interfere with success. Seeing all four together gives a better picture of how organizations differ and why some adapt better than others.
Gap Analysis: Current State vs. Future State
The gap analysis helps us clearly understand the difference between the organization’s current performance and its desired future state. Many organizations rely on outdated systems, manual processes, and slow decision-making, which can limit innovation and collaboration. The desired future state focuses on modern digital tools, faster workflows, and stronger teamwork. By identifying these gaps, the organization can determine the specific actions needed to improve performance. These actions include investing in new technology, improving internal processes, and developing employee skills. Overall, the gap analysis provides a roadmap for change and helps ensure the organization can move toward a more efficient and innovative future.
Operating Model
People, Processes, and Technology. We have different areas to focus on when making a change. You take one specific area, like people, and place it under a microscope, studying the underlying reasons for its existence. Then you can begin by making a minute change, say, promoting a promising team lead into a managing role. The processes can start to change after the aftershock of the original change. This infrastructure is connected by tendons, sever one, and you may cause the entire delicate system to collapse. The manager understands the reason behind the process and can implement technologies that shift processes towards something newer, faster, and more comprehensive.
Building Blocks for Digital Transformation
Digital transformation requires more than just new technology. It depends on several key building blocks working together to support change across the organization. The foundation begins with technology and infrastructure, including cloud systems, data, automation, and AI tools. Next, governance and structure ensure leadership support, clear decision-making, and alignment with business goals. People and skills are essential because employees must be trained, adaptable, and ready to collaborate in a digital environment. Finally, processes and culture create a mindset focused on innovation and continuous improvement. When these building blocks are aligned, organizations are better prepared to adapt to change, improve efficiency, and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving digital world.
