World Cup Field Day has been such a blast! ⚽ A huge thank you to Mrs. Laws for coordinating all the fun and engaging activities! We’re also so grateful for our amazing volunteers, PTA, and the Arlington High Lady Soccer Team for helping make the day such a success! 🌟

ADHD Awareness Month
October is ADHD Awareness Month, a time to learn more about Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and how we can support students who may experience it. ADHD is one of the most common childhood conditions, and it affects the way children pay attention, manage their energy, and regulate their impulses. Every child with ADHD is unique—some may struggle with focus, others with restlessness, and some with both.
At school, our goal is to create a learning environment where all children feel successful and supported. Students with ADHD often shine with creativity, curiosity, and big-picture thinking. With the right tools and encouragement, they can thrive academically and socially.
How families can help at home:
- Create routines – consistent schedules help children know what to expect.
- Break tasks into smaller steps – shorter chunks make big jobs feel manageable.
- Use positive praise – celebrate effort and progress, not just the final result.
- Partner with teachers – regular communication ensures consistency between home and school.
Talking about ADHD builds empathy. We remind students that everyone’s brain works a little differently, and that’s what makes our community so strong. Encouraging kindness, patience, and teamwork helps every child feel included..
Together, we can celebrate the strengths of all learners and continue building a school culture of understanding and care.

Educational Student Travel
I am excited to share that one of AISD's dedicated teachers, Ms. Jessica Ortiz, will be leading two amazing student travel opportunities in 2027 through EF Educational Tours. These experiences are open to students in our district, and I encourage you to learn more about them. Ms. Ortiz has led incredible trips before, giving students life-changing experiences—and she can’t wait to continue this tradition with your family. Please note: This is a non-school or district sponsored trip. Me complace anunciar que una de las dedicadas maestras de AISD, la Sra. Jessica Ortiz, organizará dos increíbles viajes estudiantiles en 2027 a través de EF Educational Tours. Estas experiencias están abiertas a los estudiantes de nuestro distrito y los invito a conocerlas mejor. La Sra. Ortiz ha liderado viajes increíbles anteriormente, brindando a los estudiantes experiencias que cambian la vida, y está ansiosa por continuar esta tradición con su familia. Volunteer Sign Up
Many hands make light work and we love our volunteers. We depend on our parents and volunteers to help make the best learning environment that we can for our kids. We encourage you to be an approved volunteer to help make a difference at school, sponsor fine arts events, chaperone field trips and work with students. All volunteers must submit an online application (every year) and upload a copy of your unexpired government-issued photo ID to the volunteer application.
Muchas manos facilitan el trabajo y amamos a nuestros voluntarios. Dependemos de nuestros padres y voluntarios para ayudar a crear el mejor ambiente de aprendizaje posible para nuestros hijos. Lo alentamos a ser un voluntario aprobado para ayudar a hacer la diferencia en la escuela, patrocinar eventos de bellas artes, ser acompañante en excursiones y trabajar con los estudiantes. Todos los voluntarios deben enviar una solicitud en línea (cada año) y cargar una copia de su identificación con fotografía vigente emitida por el gobierno en la solicitud de voluntariado.
