Achieve, Believe, Care
Diolch! Thank you to everyone who suggested carols and Christmas songs for us to sing this year – lots of them have been incorporated into our concerts. Silent Night was the clear winner for the carols, there was no winner for songs as we had so many suggestions! Carol Service Riverchurch will be holding their annual carol service on Sunday 14/12/25 at 6pm and we’ve been invited to join them. A group of Year 5 & 6 children have been learning the alto part to Silent Night and this week we will be recruiting more children from Years 3 & 4 to join them in forming a choir for the service. Letters will be sent out later this week to parents of all volunteers so that we can confirm numbers. Year 5 & 6 are sounding amazing – if you’re looking for a really special Christmas atmosphere please join us! Christmas Concert Rehearsals Rehearsals are underway and the school is incredibly busy. We’ve had a lot of coughs and colds this week which is making things difficult as all classes have had quite a few children off school. Hopefully everyone is recovering in time for Thursday when all the children from Oren – Porffor will get a chance to rehearse in the church so that they are familiar with it before the concerts next week. This activity is covered by the general routine visits consent form so there is no separate form to send out. However, please let us know if you will need to pick your child up during the school day on Thursday, e.g. for the dentist, so that they are in school for you rather than the church. The deadline for reserving seats for the concerts is 9:30am Friday morning and we will be in touch with all who have requested additional seats to (hopefully) confirm on Friday afternoon. Please see here for all concert information and to reserve seats.
PTFA What's App Group The PTFA are trialling a new What's App Group for Announcements, Shout outs & Helpers community. They are looking for helpers to sell teas & coffees at the concerts next week. The link to join is here.
