Otselic Valley Central School is pleased to welcome Michelle Kennedy, who is serving as the long-term substitute teacher for Ms. Beck’s science classes through the end of the school year. Mrs. Kennedy is currently teaching 7th Grade Life Science and Regents Life Science. Mrs. Kennedy brings many years of classroom experience to Otselic Valley. She is certified in Biology for grades 7-12 and previously taught for eleven years in Palm Beach County, Florida. After returning to her hometown of DeRuyter, she continued teaching in the region and retired from Dryden Central School District in 2024. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology Education from SUNY Cortland. She later completed a Master of Science degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, where she also earned an Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Technology and Distance Education. Mrs. Kennedy looks forward to supporting students and helping them succeed in science this semester. She is available after school when needed and can be reached by email at MKennedy@ovcs.org.
