About the session
The purpose of this session is to support teachers to create high-quality, student-centred Assessment Templates.
This practical session will step you through:
- Using Adobe Express Projects
- Creating assessment task and learning activity templates
- Managing your assets within the project
- Sharing remixable templates with students
- Ensuring all content you deliver gives students guidance on how to engage with it
- Creating visually appealing 'on brand' activities for students.

- Access to Report Template (via 'Brand')
- Access to Learning Activity Template (via 'Brand')
- Access to Website Template (this needs to be duplicated BEFORE you start to make any edits).

Sharing links to ANY Adobe Express Project
Students should always be encouraged to share a link to their project/document/webpage as a COMMENT to accompany their submission.
- Select the blue share button
- Select view only link (document) OR publish to web (webpage)
- Create link
- Copy the published link and paste as a comment in Canvas. NOTE: In the case of a webpage there are additional steps to follow to ensure submission of a PDF to Canvas (see Saving an Express Webpage).
ANY Template
- Access our Remixable Template by selecting the button below
- Select Continue with Email from the sign-in screen
- Sign in to Adobe Express using your RMIT credentials.
- Select the Remix button in the top right of the document
- This action will save a duplicate copy of the template to 'your stuff' in Adobe Express
- Bookmark new.adobe.express.com
- Complete your assessment task on the web.
Saving an Adobe Express Document
- Select the grey Download button in the top right corner of Adobe Express.
- Select All Pages
- From the File Format dropdown, select PDF (best for documents). NOTE: If you have included video elements, these must be submitted as separate MP4 files to Canvas.
- Select the blue Download button.
- Your file will download, at this point you should rename the document using the following file naming protocol: S3333333_LastName_Initial_AT1. PDF
Saving an Adobe Express Webpage
Ensuring that you are using Google Chrome. Open your webpage in an incognito window by copy/pasting the published link. Right click on your page and select 'Print'. You will need to apply settings as follows:
- Destination: Save as PDF
- Pages: All
- Layout: Portrait
Finally, select the 'Save' button to save to your computer ready for upload and submission. NOTE: If you have included video elements, these must be submitted as separate MP4 files to Canvas.
