"A Jack of all trades is a Master to none, but often times better than a Master of one" -William Shakespeare
About Me: Kenyatta Snipes Sr.
Hey, I’m Kenyatta Snipes Sr.—a filmmaker, storyteller, and entrepreneur, driven by a passion for creating and sharing powerful stories. But above all, my heart lies in writing. It’s through writing that I’ve been able to fully express my vision and shape the narratives that drive my career.
Growing up with humble beginnings, I was determined to carve my own path. That journey led me to Full Sail University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Cinematography, and now, I’m on the verge of completing my Master’s degree in Entertainment Business. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working on various aspects of film production—acting in films on Tubi, writing and editing movies, and even launching Yatta Vision TV Production LLC to bring my creative visions to life.
But at the core of everything I do is my passion for writing. It’s the foundation of my work in filmmaking, whether it’s crafting scripts, developing new projects, or leading my “Leading with Stories” workshops. Writing allows me to create worlds, tell impactful stories, and inspire others to find their own voice.
I’m driven by a belief that storytelling has the power to educate, empower, and connect people. My mission is to build a legacy—a family business that thrives across generations—using my skills in filmmaking and writing as tools to inspire the next wave of creators and entrepreneurs.
I’m excited to continue this journey, creating new projects, collaborating with like-minded individuals, and pushing the boundaries of storytelling. Let’s connect, share ideas, and build something meaningful together.

Resilience in the Face of Adversity
This quote has had a profound impact on me, as I come from humble beginnings. Throughout my career journey, I have faced numerous failures time and time again. However, I never allowed my environment or circumstances to deter me from my path to greatness.
My Intention
Building a Legacy: My Journey in the Entertainment Industry
My ultimate goal is to generate generational wealth and establish a family business that my children can inherit—ensuring that future generations never have to experience the struggles I faced coming from humble beginnings. To elevate my career and solidify this vision, I enrolled in the Entertainment Business Master’s Degree program at Full Sail University.
While I previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Cinematography, I knew that technical expertise alone wasn’t enough. I needed to expand my knowledge beyond filmmaking—learning how to secure budgets, hire seasoned actors, and assemble a professional production team capable of thriving in this fast-paced industry. The entertainment landscape is constantly evolving, and to succeed, I had to embrace diversity, adaptability, and discipline while eliminating any habits that could hinder my growth or creativity.
Recently, I took a major step toward my long-term vision by purchasing several acres of land to develop a full-scale movie studio. This space will serve as a hub for production, distribution, and a home for both my films and independent filmmakers seeking a platform to showcase their work. Additionally, I have launched workshops to expand my brand presence, establish credibility, and position myself as a leader in the industry. My goal is not just to participate in the entertainment business but to create a new lane, set a standard, and redefine expectations.
It's one thing to talk about a plan, but once you get a glimpse of success, nothing should stand in your way. My commitment to lifelong learning keeps me at Full Sail, where I continue to work closely with career advisors, explore new techniques, and gain valuable insights from each course. Every step brings me closer to mastering my craft, and I am determined to build a legacy that will last for generations.
MY LINKEDIN Profile
Inspirational Quote Of the Day
“The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.” – Aristotle
This quote resonates with me because it describes my experience teaching a course on filmmaking at a school for troubled youth. Even though the students were fighting every day, I was able to connect with them and help them learn. I showed them that they could understand, and I showed the other educators that these kids were teachable.

Applying PAM Principles to My Professional Growth
Throughout this course, I have gained valuable insights into Product & Audience Management (PAM) and how these principles can be applied to my business, Yatta Vision TV Production LLC. This learning experience has directly aligned with my original objectives of refining audience engagement strategies, improving product management techniques, and implementing data-driven decision-making in the entertainment industry.
Key Lessons from the Course
Narrowcasting vs. Broadcasting – This course reinforced the importance of narrowcasting in today’s digital landscape. By targeting specific audience segments through social media algorithms and AI-driven recommendations, Yatta Vision TV can effectively engage aspiring filmmakers, independent artists, and digital content creators. Instead of trying to reach everyone, the focus is now on cultivating a highly engaged niche community.
Sales Funnel Forecasting – Understanding how to analyze customer behavior and predict conversion rates has been instrumental in structuring film production services, online courses, and digital product sales. By applying sales funnel forecasting, I can now estimate demand and adjust inventory, marketing, and pricing strategies accordingly.
Technology & Analytics in Audience Engagement – Platforms like Google Analytics, Meta Insights, and YouTube Creator Studio provide real-time data on consumer behavior. This course emphasized the importance of leveraging these tools to fine-tune content distribution and optimize audience engagement. Yatta Vision TV will implement these analytics to refine marketing strategies and content personalization.
E-commerce & Pricing Strategies – The course content helped me understand how pricing models impact customer purchasing decisions. Whether it’s competitive pricing for production services or value-driven pricing for educational courses, each pricing decision will now be backed by industry research and competitor analysis.
Building a Brand Lifestyle Proposition – A strong takeaway was the importance of positioning Yatta Vision TV as more than just a production company. By integrating workshops, behind-the-scenes content, and a vibrant community, I can transform the brand into an educational and networking hub for filmmakers.
Practical Application of PAM in My Business
This course has influenced how I structure and operate Yatta Vision TV Production LLC. Moving forward, I will:
- Implement AI-driven audience segmentation to improve content targeting.
- Expand film education offerings to attract more aspiring filmmakers.
- Utilize data analytics for decision-making to enhance marketing campaigns.
- Develop scalable sales funnels to predict revenue and optimize conversion rates.
- Focus on cross-platform brand consistency, ensuring Yatta Vision TV remains a recognizable and authoritative name in the industry.
Conclusion
This course has been transformative in helping me refine my approach to audience engagement and product management. By integrating PAM best practices, technology, and analytics-driven decision-making, I am better equipped to grow my business and provide valuable resources to my audience. The future of Yatta Vision TV will be built on strategic innovation, niche engagement, and scalable growth, all of which stem from the principles learned in this course.
"Leading With Stories" Now Part of Kendrick Middle School's Curriculum
I am excited to announce that my "Leading With Stories" workshop is now officially part of the curriculum at Kendrick Middle School in Clayton County. Recently, I had the privilege of leading a four-hour session with the "Leading Ladies" program, where students were challenged to write and film a script within a single session.
Despite having little prior classroom experience in filmmaking, the students approached the task with remarkable enthusiasm, creativity, and determination. Their ability to collaborate, adapt, and bring their stories to life in such a short time was truly inspiring.
I am incredibly proud of their work and excited to share a selection of their outstanding projects below.
ENTERTANMENT BUSINESS FINANCE
I recently completed writing a series and am actively seeking funding for its production. I had the opportunity to pitch the project to a group of investors who were impressed by my background—particularly my education and hands-on experience on various movie sets—which they felt equipped me with the knowledge and drive to manage the project successfully. However, despite their confidence, I initially lacked the necessary capital.
Undeterred, I moved forward into the preproduction stages. I launched a casting call through my social media channels and reached out to prominent content creators to assist in the process. Although I was making significant progress on production, I soon recognized a gap in my business practices. While I was committed to my class reading assignments and continually learning about financing, I had not yet established critical administrative processes—such as contract management, detailed cost sheets, and comprehensive timelines—essential for investor transparency.
When an investor began inquiring about my business finances, I realized that I needed to quickly adapt. During a hectic day on set with a looming assignment deadline, an investor sat beside me and pointed out, “You’re completing your assignment with the finance sheet I need from you.” I promptly explained that I was using this opportunity to develop an accurate financial record as part of my learning process. Her positive feedback on my resourcefulness confirmed that I was on the right track.
This experience has been a valuable real-world lesson, bridging the gap between my creative endeavors and the business acumen necessary in the entertainment industry. It has reinforced the importance of integrating practical production skills with sound financial management—a synergy that is now at the heart of my professional journey.
Personal Mastery STRATEGY
Strategic Business Development and Digital Marketing Insights
My primary objective for this course was to develop skills in budget management and strategic planning to build generational wealth through a successful streaming platform, production company, and distribution business. A key component of my long-term vision has always been social media marketing and branding, as my streaming platform will be developed through an OTT (Over-the-Top) streaming site. While this goal remains in its creative stages, I have already made significant progress by building a fully functional website, establishing a company brand logo and slogan, and securing a workshop budget and investors for future film projects and mobile classroom workshops for nonprofit organizations.
Throughout this course, I gained valuable insights into the importance of website development and the strategies needed to drive traffic effectively. I also learned how to leverage social media platforms to grow a business, create engaging content, and cultivate a loyal audience. Understanding the intricacies of a digital marketing campaign proved to be more complex than expected, but the process of building a mastery journal provided a structured approach to tracking progress and business growth.
Moving forward, I plan to apply the knowledge gained from this course to both my personal and professional ventures. This includes building and refining web pages for my business and incorporating these digital tools into my Leading with Stories workshops. Mastering social media engagement, content scheduling, and digital marketing strategies on platforms like Facebook and Instagram will be instrumental in elevating my brand and expanding its reach.
Additionally, understanding the importance of business planning on a quarterly and annual basis has reinforced the necessity of maintaining a structured workflow. This proactive approach will reduce stress, ensure consistency, and position my company for long-term success. In the dynamic world of film production and digital media, being strategic, adaptable, and proactive will allow me to thrive—ultimately transforming my vision into a sustainable and profitable enterprise.
Introduction – The Game Ain’t for Everybody
Life ain’t never been fair, but if you know how to move, you can make it play in your favor. See, I wasn’t born with no silver spoon—not even a plastic one. I came into this world October 18, 1978, straight out the struggle, dropped into a shotgun house on Walton Street in Lincoln Park, Georgia. The ghetto. The real slums. No sidewalks, no fairy tales—just the raw, uncut reality of life where only the sharpest survive.
They called me “Rick James Junior” before I could even spell my own name. I had a mouth slicker than an oil spill, dance moves that could make a jukebox jealous, and a fire in my soul that no teacher, preacher, or whoopin’ could put out. Hustling? That was in my blood. My daddy, Marvin Snipes, and my granddaddy, Solomon Sneed, made sure of that. They laced me with game early, made sure I knew how to move with precision—how to finesse without force, how to get mine and make ‘em smile while I did it.
But see, life’s a tricky dealer. It’ll let you think you winning, keep you rolling high, then snatch it all back before you even realize the deck was stacked against you. I went from a college prep student with big dreams to a street soldier lost in the Queen City jungle. I saw money fast, but I saw pain even faster. I lost my brother, lost my family, lost myself. And when I thought I couldn’t fall no lower, life said, “Bet,” and showed me a whole new kind of rock bottom.
This ain’t no sob story, though. Nah, Sheila Baby is about the game—the highs, the lows, and the price you pay for every move you make. It’s about survival, about finesse, about learning that even when you take a loss, you can always flip it into a lesson.
So pull up a chair, pour yourself a drink, and listen close. ‘Cause I got a story to tell.
Behind the Scenes: Scene 5 of. A Star Is Born
The lounge was alive with an intimate yet electric atmosphere as we set up for the fifth scene of A Star Is Born. Filming with the Sony FX6, we aimed for a cinematic, moody aesthetic that captured both the raw sensuality of the moment and the underlying power dynamics between Star and the men in her world.
Lighting Setup
We used a three-point lighting system to enhance the depth and texture of the scene:
Key Light: A soft, warm LED source positioned slightly off-center to sculpt Star’s figure and highlight the emotion on her face.
Fill Light: A subtle bounce light to reduce harsh shadows while maintaining a sultry, shadowy tone.
Backlight: A cooler-toned practical light from the lounge bar area, giving a cinematic separation between Star and the extras in the background.
The lounge set itself had dim ambient lighting, casting a seductive, upscale vibe—perfect for the storyline’s mood. Extras were strategically placed in the background, engaged in their own conversations and movements to make the world feel lived-in but never distracting from Star’s dominance in the frame.
The Shoot
The eight-hour shoot was a test of endurance and precision. We shot multiple takes, ensuring we captured the chemistry and the finesse in Star’s dialogue, as well as the natural flow of her power-play. The FX6’s full-frame sensor and cinematic depth of field allowed us to focus on her expressions while letting the background melt into an elegant blur.
With the camera’s slow-motion capabilities, we experimented with certain moments—like Star’s fingers sliding over her phone before making the next move in her game—to add a layer of drama and anticipation.
By the end of the shoot, the exhaustion was real, but so was the satisfaction. The scene came together with a luxurious, neo-noir feel, capturing Star’s world exactly as envisioned—seductive, unapologetic, and always in control.
🎬 Director of the Year 🙌🏽
I’m still taking it all in.
To receive the Director of the Year award from Almost Lost in the System, presented by the powerful and inspiring Madam President Dr. Hildiah Martin Suggs… it’s more than an honor — it’s a reminder of why I do this.
This award isn’t just about my work behind the camera. It’s about the work in the community — mentoring the youth, showing up for the ones the system tries to forget. That’s what fuels me.
Through my partnership with the Clayton County Library System, I created a workshop called Leading with Stories — a safe space for young people to express themselves, create, and see that they’ve got options. Real options. A way out. Because too many of our kids are crashing out before they even get a chance to fly.
I’ve sat with young brothers and sisters who thought they had no voice. But the moment they picked up a camera, told their truth or wrote a scene that mirrored their life — something changed. They realized they matter.
This award belongs to them just as much as it does to me. To every young person who trusted me with their story: I see you, I believe in you, and I’m walking with you.
Thank you, Dr. Suggs. Thank you to my tribe, my supporters, my community, and everyone who knows the power of storytelling.
We’re just getting started. 🎥💯

I achieved a significant milestone in my professional journey by completing and launching my official website: YattaVisionYV.net. This site serves as a digital hub for Yatta Vision TV Production LLC, showcasing our creative projects, mission, and services while providing a platform for future collaborations, internships, and community outreach. Finalizing this website marks a new level of professionalism and visibility for my brand, allowing me to better connect with industry partners, clients, and aspiring filmmakers. It reflects my growth as an entrepreneur and my commitment to creating opportunities in film and media.
Project and Team Management
As I reach the end of this Project and Team Management course, I can see how much I have grown, not just from the lessons, but from looking inward and applying the knowledge to real situations. This course reminded me that leadership is more than following a script; it is a way of moving through the world that shapes both who I am and how I work.
I learned that managing a project is really about managing people and energy. Tools, templates, and strategies are important, but they do not matter much without genuine teamwork. You can have every detail mapped out, but if the team is not motivated, the project will not reach its full potential. This course taught me how to balance structure with flexibility, to set goals, hold myself accountable, but also pivot and support my team when challenges show up.
The DiSC and MBTI assessments were eye-opening. They helped me understand my own style, how I naturally plan and solve problems, and how I can better connect with people who are wired differently. Knowing that I lean toward the Conscientious style and have an ISFP personality showed me where my strengths are, but also pushed me to step up in areas where I can improve, like speaking up more or adapting my communication to the people around me.
Setting up a Team Performance Management Plan and a Quality Management Plan taught me about accountability and high standards. These are not just assignments for a grade, but blueprints for real success. I learned how critical risk management and clear, open communication are to any team. I also saw that even small wins and well-handled conflicts build the culture and legacy of a project.
On a personal level, I plan to set higher standards for myself, keep my communication open, and lead with empathy and authenticity. Professionally, I am ready to build stronger teams, take on bigger projects, and inspire the people around me to strive for greatness no matter the pressure. This course has given me the mindset and the tools to turn my vision into action and to build projects that leave a real legacy.
Mastery Journal Entry: Business Plan Development – Online
As I reflect on my journey through the Business Plan Development – Online course, I am drawn back to my original goal: to lay a concrete, actionable foundation for Yatta Vision TV Productions Inc., turning raw ambition into a living, breathing business plan that could open doors to capital, clarity, and long-term sustainability. My purpose was simple yet profound: to transform cinematic vision into structured reality and to master the skills that separate a fleeting dream from a lasting legacy.
From the outset, I anticipated the course would challenge me to balance creativity with financial discipline, to sharpen my understanding of employment rules, startup costs, and the realities of launching a business in a fiercely competitive industry. The course did not disappoint. It not only met my expectations but expanded them, helping me see my own potential and the scope of my company in sharper relief.
At the start, my insight was focused mainly on storytelling and creative execution. Through each module, I learned that true mastery in business is as much about numbers, planning, and compliance as it is about inspiration. My skills have evolved from intuitive hustling to structured decision-making, where every budget line and staffing projection is part of a bigger narrative. The outcome I imagined was a finished business plan; what I received was a blueprint for leadership and a new confidence in my ability to guide my team and secure investment.
Key lessons from the course included the practicalities of payroll taxes, the necessity of working capital reserves, and the power of clear, professional communication. I discovered the importance of spelling and grammar not just for grades, but as a signal of professionalism and respect for the process. The modules on staffing, startup costs, and market analysis gave me tools to anticipate risk and move with strategic intent.
The material I’ve absorbed here will have lasting impact both personally and professionally. On a personal level, I’ve learned discipline and patience; on a professional level, I’m better equipped to negotiate with partners, inspire my crew, and weather the storms of entrepreneurship. The vision is still poetic, but now it’s anchored in data, structure, and a sense of mastery.
As I continue to build Yatta Vision TV Productions Inc., I will apply everything I’ve learned, letting the numbers, plans, and projections form the chorus behind my creative solo. This course was more than a requirement; it was a rehearsal for the stage I am destined to stand on.
Mastery Journal – Entertainment Business Master’s Program
Introduction
When I began the Entertainment Business Master’s program at Full Sail University, I set out with a vision: to elevate my creative passion for filmmaking into a sustainable business that would stand on equal ground with industry leaders. My goal was not only to sharpen my storytelling ability but to build the knowledge, systems, and structures that could support Yatta Vision TV Production and the streaming platform I envisioned. Over the course of these twelve classes, I have gained skills in finance, law, marketing, leadership, negotiation, project management, and digital media distribution. More importantly, I have gained the confidence to step into the marketplace prepared to lead, innovate, and execute. What follows is a reflection of how each course helped shape me into the professional I am today.
1. Business Storytelling & Brand Development
This course laid the foundation for how I would define and communicate my identity as both a filmmaker and entrepreneur. I learned that a powerful story is not only the center of a film but also the center of a brand. Through this class, I clarified the vision of Yatta Vision TV Production and my clothing line Legendary Underdogs. I built the brand’s voice around authenticity, resilience, and empowerment, ensuring that both my films and business endeavors aligned with a narrative of overcoming obstacles and creating opportunities.
2. Project & Team Management
In Project & Team Management, I learned to balance the creative side of directing with the structured discipline of leadership. Tools like Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Gantt charts helped me plan productions with precision. I applied these directly to my films, using them to schedule shoots, manage budgets, and oversee cast and crew. This course also expanded my understanding of leadership styles—authoritarian, participative, and delegative—allowing me to adapt my approach depending on the situation. It prepared me to run a set like a business, without losing the artistry.
3. Entertainment Business Finance
Finance has always been a critical area for business success, and this course gave me practical tools I now use daily. I learned to create pro forma financial statements, analyze revenue streams, and forecast growth. I built real budgets for my streaming platform and productions, identifying potential funding sources and return on investment strategies. This class gave me the ability to sit at the table with investors and lenders with confidence, armed with numbers that told the story of Yatta Vision’s profitability and potential.
4. Entertainment Law
Entertainment Law equipped me with the legal knowledge to protect my work and business interests. I learned the importance of intellectual property rights, licensing, and contract structures. I applied this by drafting NDAs, deal point memorandums, and agreements for Yatta Vision TV. This class showed me that protecting creativity is just as important as creating it. It gave me the confidence to negotiate contracts without fear of being taken advantage of and to ensure my business operates with professionalism and legal integrity.
5. Marketing & Distribution
Marketing & Distribution opened my eyes to how content reaches audiences and sustains revenue. I studied strategies of both traditional and digital distribution, analyzing models that could apply to Yatta Vision TV. I built a marketing plan for my films and streaming service that included audience targeting, sponsorship outreach, and grassroots campaigns. I learned that distribution is as creative as production, requiring innovation and strategy to stand out in a crowded market.
6. Digital Marketing
This course helped me build the digital infrastructure for Yatta Vision TV’s growth. I learned about social media strategies, content calendars, SEO, and email marketing funnels. I applied these lessons directly to promoting YattaVisionTV.net, using Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to build brand awareness and drive subscriptions. I also learned how to measure engagement and track results, ensuring that my efforts are not only creative but effective.
7. Negotiation & Deal Making
In Negotiation & Deal Making, I studied strategies through case studies like the Marvin Gaye estate vs. Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams. I practiced negotiation tactics and applied them to real-world situations such as sponsorship pitches, distribution deals, and talent contracts. I learned that successful negotiation requires preparation, patience, and knowing when to walk away. These skills have already helped me in conversations with potential investors and collaborators.
8. Business Plan Development
This course was a turning point in my journey. I completed a comprehensive business plan for Yatta Vision TV Production that included financial projections, staffing budgets, marketing plans, and investor opportunities. I learned to organize my vision into a professional document that could speak to banks, sponsors, and partners. This plan has become a roadmap for my company’s growth and a tool I can use to secure funding and partnerships.
9. Risk Management
Risk Management taught me to anticipate problems before they arise. I created spreadsheets that mapped potential risks in production, finance, and distribution, along with mitigation strategies. I applied this to my feature film Never Too Much, identifying solutions for everything from weather delays to budget overruns. This course reinforced the importance of being proactive rather than reactive in business and filmmaking.
10. Leadership & Organizational Behavior
This course helped me reflect on the type of leader I am and the type of leader I want to be. I studied organizational behavior and explored leadership styles that inspire teams rather than just manage them. I realized that my purpose is not just to build a company but to create opportunities for youth and emerging talent. Leadership is about influence, vision, and culture, and this class helped me build those qualities into Yatta Vision’s foundation.
11. Entertainment Media Publishing & Distribution
This course allowed me to connect theory with practice by studying how content is monetized across different platforms. I learned the mechanics of publishing and distribution in today’s digital age, which directly influenced how I built Yatta Vision TV’s business model. I evaluated subscription-based and pay-per-view models, ultimately combining them to maximize revenue. This class gave me the tools to operate my streaming platform with confidence and sustainability.
12. Capstone (Current Course)
The Capstone course brought everything full circle. I combined the lessons from all previous classes into a final business plan and presentation, showcasing Yatta Vision TV Production as a professional and scalable venture. I refined my digital portfolio, created investor-ready materials, and polished my ability to present my vision clearly. This course showed me not only what I have accomplished but also what I am capable of achieving moving forward.
Conclusion
The Entertainment Business Master’s program has been transformational. I entered with a dream of building a film company and streaming platform, and I leave with the skills, confidence, and tools to make it a reality. I have written business plans, built financial models, drafted contracts, negotiated deals, designed marketing campaigns, and launched a streaming service. More than that, I have grown as a leader, entrepreneur, and visionary. My next step is to continue scaling Yatta Vision TV, producing films that inspire, and building opportunities for the next generation of storytellers.
