Week 3

D.T - This week in Design Technology, we have been learning about food production and where different foods grow best around the world. After, we created pizzas with a variety of vegetables as toppings!

English - We carried on with our adventure book called 'Quest' and wrote about the next page. The children did a great job of uplevelling their sentences by using fronted adverbials, expanded noun phrases and inverted commas when a character was talking. It was lovely to see the children volunteer to read out their work to their peers - they were very proud of their work!

Oracy Assembly - This week, our focus was road safety. The children were very knowledgeable of how and why we need to be careful near roads, even if we are on the path. Each week, the children are becoming more confident in speaking in front of each other!

Maths - We have come back to look at fractions this week! We revised over what the numerator and denominator is before having a go at adding and subtracting fractions. The children picked this up so well - great job year 3!

Sport - The weather was gorgeous on Friday! It was our P.E session in the afternoon, so we decided to have some games that were less active going so that we did not overheat too much!

Waste Warriors - On Friday morning, we had a workshop to learn about food waste and how we can reduce it. Our goal in school is to produce less food waste.
