Beginners Corner – Updates on Beginners
We’ve been busy in beginner classes making sounds on our instruments, practicing Music Master and learning to read notes and rhythms. Beginners are at a point now that you should be hearing them practice at home daily. We ask that they practice 15 minutes – 5+ days a week. Just like any sport, shorter daily practice is more beneficial than practicing 75 minutes once a week. Please encourage your student to show you what they have been working on in class. You will be amazed at what students are already capable of playing!!
Future Wildcat Newsletter from the WGHS Band Directors
Please check out this September edition of the Future Wildcat Newsletter. The Walnut Grove High School band directors have been visiting and helping in many of our band classes. Their marching competition season is set to begin and they have quite a few performances coming up. We would love to invite you and our current students to watch and support our Rogers Band Alumni in the WGHS Wildcat Band!
