I am Lindsey Erler, from Colorado. I currently live in Seattle, WA, where I work as a Youth Climbing Instructor!

How did you hear about Beyond? I am passionate about camp ministry and wilderness adventure! I moved to Seattle, Washington in February 2026 hoping to serve in a context where I could openly talk about Jesus and facilitate adventure experiences for others. Within just a few weeks of moving to Washington, I made a new friend named Julia, who worked as a Beyond guide a few summers ago. After hearing how deeply formative Beyond was for her as well as sweet stories about God transforming the lives of campers, I knew I had to apply. It was such an answer to prayer to find Beyond!
What are you looking forward to this summer? I can't wait for all the amazing conversations I will get to have with individuals on trail!
How are you hoping to grow this summer? I want to focus on the present more- not worrying about the future as much. Being on trail reminds me of my daily dependence on God. I am excited to see how God pushes me to grow on reliance on Him this summer.
What else should sponsors know about you? I am hoping the next two summers serving at Beyond will help clarify my ministerial calling. I want to serve in vocational ministry long-term, and I think I specifically want to pursue wilderness ministry, but we'll see how the Lord guides after my time at Beyond.
What expenses are you fundraising to cover? It looks like I am mostly starting from scratch collecting the gear I need to be a mountain guide. Money raised will go towards mountaineering boots, a sleep system (suitable for cold weather), rain gear, climbing gear, etc. My fundraising goal is $3,000.
Prayer Requests
Prayers for my health! In 2023, I was diagnosed with long COVID, which turned into a long journey of recovery. I still believe I struggle with a couple residual symptoms, including joint pain and fatigue, but I also have an autoimmune disease that can produce similar symptoms, so it's hard to tell what is causing what. Prayers that my body would be able to sustain three months working as a mountain guide at Beyond would be greatly appreciated!
