Future Stories & Themes

Maplewood is growing—and the stories are growing with it. What you see now is just the beginning. The peaceful town will always be at the heart, and over time, the stories will gently expand to include new seasons of life, different voices, and meaningful experiences.

The stories follow real time—when it’s spring in Montana, it’s spring in Maplewood. The characters celebrate holidays, grow older, and move through the year just like we do. Everything unfolds slowly and naturally, in a way that feels both familiar and full of discovery.

Upcoming episodes will explore a wide range of topics—travel, hobbies, sports, holidays, school life, family traditions, and even business and board meetings. Some stories will stay close to home, while others will follow the characters into new places, offering language and situations you might encounter in everyday life.

Every story will stay gentle and meaningful, with language that feels natural and real. You can simply enjoy the stories, or follow along to grow your English skills. Everyone is welcome in Maplewood.

Ms. Laura

I’m a mother, a teacher, and a woman of faith. I’ve walked through many seasons of life—some joyful, some very hard. Through it all, I’ve learned how to love deeply, how to grow in patience, and how to keep moving forward.

I created Maplewood as a way to share everything I’ve learned—about life, about language, and about hope. My experiences homeschooling my children taught me that every person learns at their own pace and that love, kindness, and real-life experiences are among the best teachers. These heartfelt stories are my way of sharing the lessons and joys of life.

I spend my days writing, learning, praying, and pouring love into the people I care about. I believe that every moment in life holds meaning, and that even challenges are part of a greater plan to help us grow, love more deeply, and become who we’re meant to be. Each chapter has shaped me, and I carry those lessons into everything I do—with grace, hope, and a grateful heart.

— Ms. Laura
