About Turtle Care
Some days, it may feel like you are carrying more than you can explain.
- Stress that doesn’t switch off.
- Overthinking that keeps you awake.
- Family or relationship tensions that stay with you long after the conversation is over.
- Feeling emotionally drained, stuck in the same patterns, or too hard on yourself.
- Feel like something is “wrong” with you — your emotions too much, your reactions too intense, your exhaustion unexplainable.
You are not alone. Many of our struggles make sense when we are seen in the context of our lives, relationships, and the systems we move through. Turtle Care offers a warm therapy space to slow down and make sense of what you’re carrying. Together, we look at your experiences in the context of your life — your relationships, family, culture, and the everyday pressures around you. This helps us understand not just what you are feeling, but why it may be showing up. The intention is not to fix you, but to support you in understanding yourself with more clarity, care, and choice. Healing here moves at your pace.
About Tania
I am a trauma-informed mental health practitioner and creative arts facilitator working at the intersection of mental health, education, and social-emotional wellbeing. I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology (Clinical Psychology) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and The Banyan Academy of Leadership in Mental Health, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Hons.) from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. My practice is further shaped by training and certification in trauma-informed psychotherapy, narrative approaches, and creative arts-based therapeutic work. When words feel difficult, our work may also include storytelling, reading picture book, visual reflection - scribbling, drawing as gentle ways of making sense of your experiences.
What shapes my lens
I come to this work from a service middle-class background, as a second-generation learner, with the privilege of having accessed higher education in English and moving through the world in a non-disabled body. I remain mindful of how these locations shape what I can see, what I may miss, and how I hold the work. My sensitivity to safety, power, silence, and survival has also been deeply shaped by witnessing domestic violence and navigating inter-caste dynamics within my family. These lived realities continue to shape how I listen — with humility, care, and attentiveness to complexity, contradiction, and what often remains unspoken. While this awareness informs how I hold therapy, your story, your pace, and your meaning-making remain at the centre of our work.

Testimonial
When I first started therapy, I was constantly angry, panicking, and emotionally numb. I was carrying a lot of trauma and living in a state of survival because of PTSD. At that time, I didn’t fully understand what therapy could do and I just knew I wasn’t okay. I took a leap of faith with Tania. Through the process, I slowly began to understand my reactions, my emotions, and the impact of my past. The space Tania created felt safe enough for me to explore things I had buried, carried or avoided for a long time. Over time, something really shifted for me. I went from feeling like a constantly triggered, overwhelmed adult to feeling like a more present and grounded person. I can recognize my emotions, respond instead of react, and feel like I am friends with myself. I still have my moments but now I have a better understanding of parts of me which need tending to. Therapy changed my understanding of myself. It helped me realize that healing isn’t about becoming someone new, but about slowly reconnecting with parts of yourself that were hurt or shut down. I’m very grateful for Tania. She is present, she sits with you in every emotion, she brings you out of it safely. Until your body learns. I believe due to therapy sessions with Tania, my life, my relationship with myself and with others around me has immensely improved.
