Organic Recycling in Action: Local Businesses Leading the Way
Under California’s SB 1383 law, businesses are required to properly recycle organic waste, including food scraps and yard waste. These efforts reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills, where it generates methane, a harmful greenhouse gas. By diverting organic materials, SB 1383 helps lower emissions and supports a more sustainable future. ChapMayan is leading by example through its commitment to organic recycling and sustainable practices, demonstrating how local businesses can make a meaningful impact. The City of Pico Rivera extends its appreciation to all local businesses doing their part to reduce waste and protect the environment.
