The start of the next chapter
2026 Bosque School Commencement
On Friday, May 22, Bosque School honored the Class of 2026 during a heartfelt commencement ceremony. Commencement marks both the start of the next chapter for graduates and the continuation of a lifelong connection filled with shared memories, support, and opportunities. Wherever a Bosque School graduate’s path may lead, shared experiences will always connect them, and they will always have a place here at Bosque School.
Kinsey Durham-Grace ('08) was the featured speaker at commencement. As an engineer at GitHub, Kinsey builds the platform that powers some of the world's most advanced AI coding tools. She encouraged the new alumni to move forward with confidence and grit and reminded graduates that they are capable of whatever they put their minds to in this ever-changing world. Commencement also featured speeches, music, and reflections from staffulty members and students. Their tributes inspired graduates to embrace the road ahead with curiosity and confidence.
Together, the 54 graduates of the Class of 2026 received nearly $12 million in merit aid and are headed to 36 different institutions! We're so proud!
A Big Step Up
On Thursday, May 21, Bosque School’s middle school community gathered in Sanchez Park for one of the year’s most meaningful traditions: the Middle School Step-Up Ceremony. This event honors 8th-grade students as they complete middle school and prepare to enter upper school, while also recognizing the symbolic “step up” taken by 6th- and 7th-graders as they move into new grade-level roles.
Step-Up is a celebration of academic, personal, and social growth for Bosque middle school students. The event featured reflections, shared memories, and inspiring messages from staffulty who recognized students’ progress and resilience.
Congratulations to the Class of 2030. We look forward to seeing you in upper school!
Thank you, Corio Foundation!
Just one year after announcing Bosque School’s largest philanthropic pledge to date, the Corio Foundation has made the extraordinary decision to double its commitment in support of our highest-need students. Beginning this spring, the Foundation committed to providing $1 million annually to expand access to Bosque School’s proven model of educational excellence for students with the highest demonstrated financial need. Through its annual $1 million investment, the Foundation’s vision is to continue welcoming new students to Bosque year after year — building a lasting legacy of educational access for generations of New Mexico students. We are so grateful to the Corio Foundation for its visionary leadership and extraordinary generosity.
Class of 2026 Shines at Senior Colloquium
Prior to graduation, the class of 2026 presented their completed senior thesis projects at Colloquium. As the culmination of deep intellectual exploration and research, Colloquium presentations covered a broad range of topics and thoughtful analysis. This year, students had new ways to complete their fieldwork and produce research findings through an action track. In these alternative capstone formats, students had the opportunity to create mini-documentaries, podcasts, short theater productions, and art pieces, as well as deliver professional presentations, national conference presentations, and conduct collaborative research with industry professionals.
2026 Immersives
Inspiring Curiosity, Engaging in Real-World Experiences, and Creating Lasting Memories
Every spring, Bosque School students step outside the traditional classroom and into a world of immersive, hands-on learning. The Immersives program is designed to inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and provide students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real-world settings.
This year's Immersives covered a broad range of topics and experiences. Mountains and Rivers, fREADom, The Rocks Tell Stories, and Intro to Game Design were just a few of the middle school Immersives that captured students' minds and hearts. In upper school, Immersives were journeys of discovery, growth, and community-building. Crime Scene Investigators, Medical Reserve Corps, Bosque Throwdown, The Wild, Hip Hop and DJ 101, and the Writing Center were just a few of the courses students chose for their immersive experiences.
Departing Staffulty
At the end of each school year, we pause to recognize and thank the staffulty members who will be departing Bosque School. While we will miss their presence in our community, we are deeply grateful for the many ways they have contributed to Bosque School and enriched the lives of our students. We are truly thankful to them for their dedication, friendship, and commitment to our shared values, and we wish them all the best as they begin a new and exciting chapter!
