Men's Soccer Places Ninth in SSC Preseason Poll
MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Eckerd men's soccer team was selected to finish ninth in the 2023 Sunshine State Conference preseason poll.
The Tritons received 27 points following a 5-6-4 record last season. Eckerd upset No. 8 Rollins by a score of 2-0 on September 17, 2022. The Tritons produced an All-American, Tommy Shepherd, who tallied 11 goals and 26 points last season. He ranked 19th nationally in goals per game (0.73), 21st in points per game (1.73), tied-33rd in total goals (11), and tied-37th in total points (26).
Eckerd kicks off its season on September 2nd at Johnson Field for their home opener against Delta State at 7:00 PM.
