Last week, we celebrated Crossing Guard Appreciation Day! We are incredibly grateful for these dedicated ladies who help keep our community safe. With that in mind, this is a friendly reminder to please cross the street only where crossing guards are stationed. We have several student walkers being picked up by their guardians on Allen Street. It is important to always look both ways before crossing. Most importantly, please use the designated intersection where a crossing guard is present to assist you. La semana pasada celebramos el Día de Apreciación de las Guardias de Cruce. ¡Estamos muy agradecidos por estas dedicadas mujeres que ayudan a mantener segura a nuestra comunidad! Con esto en mente, les recordamos amablemente que crucen la calle únicamente donde están ubicadas las guardias de cruce. Tenemos varios estudiantes que caminan y son recogidos por sus familiares en la calle Allen. Es importante mirar siempre a ambos lados antes de cruzar. Lo más importante es que utilicen la intersección designada donde hay una guardia de cruce para ayudarles.

April is Autism Awareness Month! Please see the calendar below for the days we will wear blue in recognition and support. Please also take note of other important dates, including STAAR state testing days. The following are closed campus days (no guests for lunch) due to STAAR testing and make-up sessions. ¡Abril es el Mes de la Concientización sobre el Autismo! Por favor, consulte el calendario a continuación para conocer los días en que vestiremos de azul en reconocimiento y apoyo. We saw a dip in attendance during the 4th six weeks, but I’m proud to share that it rose again during the 5th six weeks—thank you for your continued efforts and commitment! As we head into these final weeks of school, let’s stay focused and finish strong. Every day matters, and your presence makes a difference for our students. Let’s keep the momentum going, Grizzlies! Vimos una disminución en la asistencia durante el cuarto periodo de seis semanas, pero me enorgullece compartir que volvió a subir durante el quinto periodo—¡gracias por sus continuos esfuerzos y compromiso! Al entrar en estas últimas semanas del año escolar, mantengámonos enfocados y terminemos con fuerza. Dismissal Procedures

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

• Walk-up parents will not be allowed to pick up students from the main entrance between 3:00 and 3:50 p.m.
• You must communicate with the front office or child's teacher before 2:45 if your child will be going home differently than usual.
• Only car-rider students who are picked up through the car rider line will be dismissed from the main entrance during this time.
• For those walking to pick up your child, park where you see the stars on the map. Your students can be picked up in the gym. (sun)
• For safety reasons, please do not form a human line inside the school grounds before 3:25 P.M.
• All walkers will be released through the double doors to the left of the main doors.
• Parents of students who are in the Alternative Curriculum classes will retrieve their students at the double doors to the left of the main entry. The same doors that dismiss the walkers.
• Car Line: On Rebecca Ln, stay to the right to let neighborhood pedestrians pass on your left. You will retrieve your child in the front drive.
• Form the car line on Daniel Street. Leave space for neighborhood passersby.
• Each parent/guardian must have a tag with their child's first name, last initial, and grade level. (Both car riders and parents that walk up.)
• Those who do not have a car tag with your child's name or an ID will need to report to the main office to pick up their child at 3:55 p.m.
• Do not park where you see the X's on the map.
• Please model patience, kindness, grace, respect, and understanding during dismissal. Our students are always watching our behaviors.

• Para aquellos que caminan para recoger a su hijo/a, estacione donde vea las estrellas en el mapa y sus hijos/as pueden ser recogidos en el gimnasio. (imagen del sol en el mapa)
• Por razones de seguridad, no forme una fila humana dentro del recinto escolar antes de las 3:25 p. m.
• Línea de automóviles: en Rebecca Ln, permanezca a la derecha para dejar pasar a los transeúntes del vecindario a su izquierda.
• Forme la línea de automóviles en Daniel Street. Deje espacio para los transeúntes del vecindario.
• Cada padre/tutor debe tener una etiqueta con el nombre, la inicial del apellido y el nivel de grado de su hijo. . (recuperaciones de automóviles y recuperaciones a pie)
• Aquellos que no tengan una etiqueta de automóvil con el nombre de su hijo o una identificación deberán presentarse en la oficina principal para recoger a su hijo a las 3:55 p. m.
• No estacione donde vea las X en el mapa.
• Por favor modele paciencia, amabilidad, gracia, respeto y comprensión durante el despido. Nuestros estudiantes siempre están observando nuestros comportamientos.
