Consistent Attendance and Homework Completion Lead to a Special Reward
Mr. Gross' third grade class finished the school year with something to smile about after reaching an attendance and homework incentive goal that had been months in the making. The challenge began when Mr. Gross started crossing days off the classroom calendar each time the class had perfect attendance and completed most of their homework assignments. Day by day, the students worked together to earn another X on the calendar and move one step closer to their goal. Their hard work and commitment paid off when the class finally reached the current date, earning no homework for the remainder of the school year, with the exception of 20 minutes of daily reading. The achievement was the result of outstanding teamwork, responsibility, and dedication throughout the spring. Mr. Gross praised the class for their efforts, saying he could not be any prouder of what they accomplished together.
