ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Jack McDonald, and I've been working in this industry since 2023, primarily on 3D animation and video editing. I've directed and worked on a few short films, as well as client projects. I graduated from the University of Missouri in 2026 with a degree in Digital Storytelling, Informational Technology, and Business. I specialize in anything post-production related, so hit me up and we can get started on your next project!

3D Modeling / Animation
LEAVING FOR A LONG TIME
Leaving for a Long Time is a music video I am currently Directing and Animating. Below is some work-in-progress videos/images. Through this project I was in charge of hiring a team of animators and giving them weekly tasks, as well as working alongside them.
The short follows a couple living on an asteroid mining colony, and their evil corporate overlords, in a stop-motion/miniature (style), sci-fi environment. We plan to have this premiere at the SXSW Film and Music Festival.
THE MOTHMAN
THE MOTHMAN is another animated short film I am working on and plan to release later this year. This follows a detective investigating a seemingly supernatural murder, and his interviews with the witnesses.
This film taught me a lot about 3D animation. I learned about facial motion capture, stylized compositing, and lots of other new tools that are required for high-quality animation

In my free time, I started a hobby of posting video edits for various forms of media. I've had success in social media platform algorithm analysis work and in adjusting my content to maximize viewership. Check out my TikTok and Instagram pages to see my work.
