How Members Participate
Content Creators at UT San Antonio is a new organization, so advertising is needed to create awareness and recruit new members.
- Every member is invited to make at least one flyer to display on campus and one graphic to post on social media.
- This may be the same imagery in different sizes.
- Alternatively, a video may be submitted instead of the graphic and flyer. The organization's name, logo, and webpage QR code must be featured on the graphics.
- Collaborate with other members to create projects that amplify skills.

President
Leigh N. Eldred
I am dedicated to living faithfully and embracing creativity in all aspects of my life and work. My passion is in designing user interfaces and creative content that enhances user experience by seamlessly combining artistic form with intuitive function. With a relentless curiosity to learn and a commitment to inclusivity, I empathically craft meaningful and engaging messages that resonate with diverse audiences to ensure every interaction is both beautiful and purposeful.
As a UTSA communication major, with concentrations in public relations and digital communication, I discovered that my passion for creation evolved from traditional art media to include digital platforms. I cherish the idea of eliciting positive real-world impact with my designs as I continue strengthening my skillset.

I am glad to be able to serve as Secretary of the Content Creators organization! I'm majoring in cybersecurity which although is a quirky major to want to get into content creation, I just find it a really fun hobby for me, which is what led me to conceive of the idea of this org! I love how you can use pictures etc. to tell a story and convey messages without actually having to say anything, similar to human facial expressions.
Currently I work for a non-profit maintaining and developing their website, managing core IT infrastructure and also ensuring legal compliance and cybersecurity. I also have founded multiple other student organizations including DREAM for Accessibility and The Runner, UTSA's only gaming review organization. Outside of all that, I do have some content creation experience from years past including working in marketing for roughly a year and a half and launching, and managing, a radio station in addition to managing partnerships with top companies including Spotify and YouTube for music content licensing and distribution.
I personally can't wait to see what we can achieve as an org together! My hope is that this is a safe environment for all, where we can learn from one another and grow as people, and professionally. At the end of the day, content creation is at the center of everything.

VP of Social Media
Raquel Gates
With a background in marketing and a strong passion for the beauty industry, I’ve developed a love for digital media and how it can spark creativity, inspire others, and bring communities together.
I believe social media is about more than posting content. It’s about telling stories, fostering connections, and creating a space where people feel valued. I enjoy the challenge of taking an idea and turning it into content that not only looks great but also sparks conversation and connection.
I look forward to turning ideas into content that resonates, brings people together, and celebrates the creativity of our UTSA community.

I am proud to serve as treasurer of Content Creators at UTSA. I am currently a Junior pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. I am committed to ensuring the success of our organization and creating a welcoming community for creators.
Although I study finance, I'm a Maker at heart—I love building, experimenting, and bringing ideas to life. I create content for my YouTube channel, Modern Mad Scientist, which has 1.7k subscribers and counting! My focus is on STEM-based “edutainment” videos and quirky projects similar to that of Michael Reeves and William Osman. Watching science videos like these as a kid fueled my curiosity and passion for learning. Now, I want to carry the torch and inspire the next generation that learning can be fun, curiosity should be explored, and creativity encouraged.
As we enter the spring semester, I’m excited to help grow our organization and support our members in their content creation journeys. While YouTube is my primary platform, I also share my content across multiple social media channels and am always open to discussing tips and strategies for creating and promoting content with fellow creators.
