Rediscover Downtown

Progress Update!

As part of the City of Lake Elsinore’s “Rediscover Downtown” initiative, we are thrilled to share that the Main Street Interchange Improvement Project and Art Panel Project are now complete! Read more about the projects below!

The Interstate 15 (I-15) Main Street Interchange Project is a primary entry point for residents and visitors who visit Historic Downtown Lake Elsinore to enjoy dining, shopping, and events throughout the year. The Project aims to increase vehicle and pedestrian safety by improving traffic flow from the on- and off-ramps of I-15 on Main St.

The Main Street Interchange Art Panels Project is a public art initiative designed to enhance the visual aesthetics of the interchange while celebrating the City's heritage and identity. The Project features LED backlit aluminum panels and showcases artwork created through water jetted holes varying in geometry and size. The design of the panels reflects the City's rich history and cultural identity. The selection includes representation of historic and present landmarks throughout Downtown, capturing the city's past and present.

Lake Elsinore

Lake Watch

Based on recent lab results from lake water sampling, the City of Lake Elsinore is announcing that current levels of toxins from algae warrant no advisory at this time. People are advised to avoid scum, to not drink lake water, and to continue to keep pets out of the water.

The City will continue to test the water on a weekly or bi-weekly basis at this time and will post regular updates on the lake conditions as lab results are received.
