New Sergeant Major

Always Ready

The two-day event focused on the N.D. Guard audience that will be participating in the June 2025 domestic operations exercise.

Professional Development

Dot Frank, Bismarck State College, conducted this month's professional development, Feb. 12, at the Raymond J. Bohn Armory, Bismarck, N.D. (U.S. Army National Guard photos by Sgt. 1st Class Charles Highland, N.D. National Guard Public Affairs Office)

The topic was the 5 Languages of Appreciation, which are strategies for building strong workplace relationships that make colleagues and employees feel valued. The presentation highlighted a plan for creating a positive work environment through meaningful acts of appreciation.

Frank taught practical techniques to improve communication and boost morale to cultivate a culture where everyone feels appreciated.

In addition to an in-person audience, his briefing was live-streamed state-wide to all N.D. National Guard full-time members.

This library is essential for fostering continuous learning and leadership, ensuring service members are well-prepared to meet the evolving challenges of Military and civilian roles.

Exercise Recognition

Christiansen received an adjutant general coin for planning, coordinating, and executing the NORTHCOM Wargaming Exercise, demonstrating exceptional leadership and strategic foresight. Through a well-structured networking plan, he strengthened existing professional relationships and fostered new connections critical to mission success.

Kenney Promoted

U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Eric Binstock, state command sergeant major, awarded the N.D. Guard State Command Sergeant Major Coin to 1st Lt. Cody Wren, Delta Detachment, 1st Battalion, 188th Air Defense Artillery.

Wren's unit was the first in the state to use the newly developed professional development library on the N.D. Guard website.
