Please stay up-to date on all JB Happenings!

Our first Elearning Day is Tuesday, September 19th. Students will stay home that day and complete work on their iPads. Kindergarten will have most of their work come home in backpacks, with just a few assignments on the iPad. Students will have 5 days to complete their work. If work is not turned in, they will be counted "absent" that day.

Teachers will be in professional development in the morning. They will be available to answer questions from 12:00pm-3:00pm. You can also contact the tech department at @support@gcsc.k12.in.us

Our PTO has a new Facebook Page! Please click on the link and "like" our page to stay connected our awesome PTO!

Grandparent's/VIP Days at JB

We are all booked for Grandparents/VIP Day and the RSVP form is turned off. Guests who pre-paid for lunch will receive their ticket, in the envelope that was returned to school at lunch. Guests will enter through door 2.

Please see the updated lunch menu for next week, as we make arrangements for Grandparent/VIP days.

The Book Fair is coming to J.B Stephens, the week of September 18th. Below is a link to the online store. Students will be able to shop during their Library time and also other times throughout the school day.

Family Resources from the Indiana Learning Lab

The Parent and Family Support Hub is now available in the Indiana Learning Lab. This site features resources to support parents and families of students in preschool through high school. For a more detailed tour of the platform, view the recording of Introducing: The Learning Lab Parent and Family Support Hub. Information attached below.

School Dismissal Manager

School Dismissal Manager is now LIVE! Please check your email for login and set up directions. All school dismissal changes now go through School Dismissal Manager. You do NOT need to call the office if you put your change/absence in the APP. You should receive a confirmation email from SDM with your update.

Roll out of student iPads has been a bit delayed this year. This year, student iPads will be turned off from the hours of 7:00pm-6:00am, as they are not needed for instructional purposes during this time. Please be sure and charge iPads each night and limit use of them for non-school purposes. Thanks for your help!

Our JB Way is our expectations of students. We expect JB Cougars to be Respectful, Responsible and Kind! When we "catch" students following the JB Way, they are recognized by earning a Cougar Buck. Students also earn a Cougar Buck each day they are at school. They can then cash those bucks in for small prizes and fun coupons. Big thanks to our PTO for sponsoring the prizes!

Congratulations to this week's Positive Office Referrals!

Cougar Spirit

Happy Homecoming Weekend! Our little Cougars sure did show up in GC Spirit!

Breakfast starts at 7:30am. If your student is needing to eat breakfast at school, please be sure and have them here right at 7:30am. Our instructional day starts at 7:45am and we want to be sure students are in classes and learning. Thanks!

Each classroom at JB has a designated snack time to help our students stay fueled for the school day! Please send in a healthy snack with your child each day. You can also send in bulk items to share with the class, we are always appreciative of donations.
