Hands-On Learning Through Cooking
Students in Ms. Cantrell’s class recently combined learning and life skills during a hands-on cooking activity. Using step-by-step video directions, students prepared breakfast sandwiches with a simple one-pan method. Along the way, they practiced important kitchen skills such as cracking eggs, assembling ingredients, and using cooking tools safely. The activity also reinforced the value of carefully following directions, staying organized, and working independently throughout the cooking process. From start to finish, students remained engaged and enjoyed seeing their efforts turn into a delicious final product.
