Our study of growth continues. Our pea seeds have begun to sprout, and our cress seeds are just germinating. We have also enjoyed reading lots of stories about how humans and animals grow.
The children know that their bodies are growing and that they need to keep themselves healthy and strong. Physical development is very important at this age, especially for their writing development.
The children develop their strength through many play activities.
In addition to physical skills, there are many other foundations for writing, such as developing phonics awareness. The children sorted objects into hoops depending on whether they could hear an 'm' sound or an 's' sound at the beginning of the word.
During play, the children have been exploring colour, shape, and pattern.
Thank you again to those parents who are able to support the children's learning in the classroom. It is lovely for the children to see their favourite people engaging in the learning we do in class.
