Dear friends and family,
The last time we wrote to you, we asked you to pray for the return to classes at the Bible School and for the REJUVALI, a camp we held in August to introduce young believers to missions. We are very grateful because the Lord has answered your prayers, and we want to tell you about it.
Trainers Meeting
Before classes began, teachers from missionary training programs in Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia, and Mexico, along with representatives from Paraguay and Canada, gathered for a week to learn how to improve current teaching methods and about the curriculum of missionary institutes. Jordan translated from English to Spanish throughout the event.
Back to classes at Bible School
Jordan was teaching the letter to the Hebrews. During the last few classes, Eimy was also attending to the class. It is always good to see how the Word of God transforms the lives of students.
Eimy was with another teacher from the institute accompanying and advising during the class on 2 Timothy, a class where senior students taught sophomores as part of their training.
REJUVALI (Youth Retreat to the Institute) 2025
During the camp, there were talks with missionaries who work within Colombia among two different ethnic groups and with a couple who work in South Asia. Most of those who came had never heard about cross-cultural missions before, and they shared how the Lord challenged them during the three days of camp.
We had activities/games in the afternoons where the focus was on teamwork, as every missionary team must do, in order to achieve the goal.
Jordan was in charge of organizing this part of the camp. The campers also said they enjoyed and learned a lot from this.
We also prepared a play about the life of a missionary couple who worked among an ethnic group in Papua New Guinea in the 1960s that was known for being cannibalistic. This play really challenged us all.
We thank God that some of those who came said that the Lord used the camp (and especially this play) to challenge them to serve Him in this way, and they want to come be trained at the Missionary Institute.
Grace and Truth Bible Congregation
We continue to serve in our local church. Jordan preached last Sunday and will preach again this Sunday.
As for youth group, apart from the evangelism club we have with the neighborhood kids, this Saturday we will begin a Youth Afternoon with the young believers in our church. We appreciate your prayers for these meetings, which we will begin to hold once a month.
As for Sunday school, we thank God that many brothers and sisters from the church have joined in to help teach the young children on Sundays. This encouraged us greatly.
In another news...
We appreciate your prayers for:
- Wisdom for Jordan when he preaches in church.
- Wisdom for both of us as we spend time with the students. May we be a source of challenge and encouragement.
- Classes and work. Jordan finished the Hebrew class, and we don't know what other class he will be teaching next, but he has been helping with maintenance work at the institute.
- Youth group with the kids from the neighborhood.
- The Youth Afternoon that we are going to start this Saturday with the young believers of our church, may we challenge them to be examples of believers.
Thank you so much for being part of His work with us!
