Tritons Play to Draw With Moccasins

LAKELAND, Fla.- After a two-hour weather delay, The Eckerd men's soccer team continued its high-scoring offense in Sunshine State Conference play, logging another four goals on the way to a 4-4 draw at Florida Southern Wednesday night.

The Tritons struck first with an early goal in the 10th minute, thanks to Jannik Brengel. However, the Mocs evened the score 10 minutes later on a goal by Ruben Linden. Luciano Rodriguez quickly put Eckerd ahead with a goal four minutes later as he broke through at the top of the 18 for a sliding goal. Eckerd took the 2-1 lead into intermission.

Fredrik Heise gave EC a 3-1 favor in the 66th minute, tucking a low shot inside the left post. However, FSC evened the score quickly with two goals over the next seven minutes. Matthew Male added a goal in the 71st, while Victor Beker sent in the equalizer in the 73rd minute. Blaine Sutton converted on a corner kick in the 77th minute, but Jay Skelcher-Maxwell converted on a penalty kick in the final 10 minutes to tie the game at 4-4.
