WHAT TO WEAR?
This is a great question that we get asked quite often. We would suggest that you and your loved ones complement one another. Look for a similar color palette that complements your style. We love to see some cozy sweaters and a variety of neutral and winter colors! Things to avoid: Company Logos (unless it is your business), super busy patterns, and clothing that you don't feel comfortable in. When you feel your best you look your best!

Q: Where will Mini-Sessions take place?
A: Mini-Sessions will be will at SEVERAL different locations on SEVERAL different dates. Please be sure to note your location, date, and time. Please refer to the map for where you should park and where we will be shooting.

Q: So what happens if it rains?
A: Great question. Hopefully, we are blue skies all the way. Should we have rain, we will reschedule for Sunday December 10 or change our location to the YTK Studio. Make a note of this dates, and also block this off! If we need to re-book, you will likely need a different time slot and we may need to sub our shoot location. Please note that weekend scheduling is very limited in the fall. I cannot guarantee any other date beyond December 10. If we encounter inclement weather, I will reach out to you and make our rain date plan. Late, missed, or canceled appointments will not be rescheduled or refunded under any circumstances.
Q: How do we prep for our session?
A: Make sure you give yourself plenty of time that day. Have a great meal, doll yourself up, wear a great outfit that makes you feel amazing, choose something adorable for your family and just have a lot of fun! NOTE: Parking in Troy can sometimes be tricky on Saturdays with the farmer's market. We suggest you plan to arrive 15 minutes before your session to make sure you have parking giving you enough time to get to your shoot. Please give yourself an extra 15 minutes to arrive and get out to the location and make sure you hit up the bathrooms before. (NOTE we do not have restrooms available at many of the locations. Also, feel free to bring a blanket or any other props for the shoot!
Q: Can we choose more than one spot or set for photos?
A: Absolutely! All of our locations have multiple background options right in range of our shoot location. We will do as much as we can, given the time we have.
Q: How many images will we receive & how?
A: We will process all images by or before thanksgiving with the expedition to our December date. I will email you the online viewing and ordering gallery with your 25 edited images. Production will be 14 business days for all deliveries. If you would like to receive them prior, you can upgrade your package with a $100 rush fee for five business days and $200 for two business days. Due to the overwhelming turnaround time. All delivered images are high res files that can be directly downloaded to your computer!
Q: How long will Mini-Sessions be?
A: Our sessions are 20 minutes only, which is why it is really important for you to arrive early and be ready when we call you. I can get so much done in this time, just make sure you are ready to go!
Q: OK…Can my ENTIRE family come?
A: Our sets are designed to host up to 6 people per family unit. If you would like to include additional family members like Grandparents or Cousins, there is an additional $25 per person fee on your session. For groups larger than 6, inquire about our Full Family Sessions.
Q: What about FUR BABIES??!
A: Fur babies are a yes!!!! Please make sure that you bring treats and pick up after your animals. THIS IS A MUST - THEY MUST be good around children. They must be on a leash (and we can plan around hiding that during the shoot). If you do plan to bring your pups, you must let us know in the signup form. Please note: if your animal is not cooperative we reserve the right to ask you to remove them from the shoot.
Q: Can we change outfits?
A: If you can do it within your shoot time, FOR SURE! As we will be out on location, there will not be a covered area, so as long as you and your family are comfortable with changing behind a tree, go for it! Just know that can really cut down on our capture time. A great idea is to work in layers to keep the change short and sweet.
Q: What if we’re running late to our Mini-Session?
A: First, try and plan to be on location at least 15 minutes before your session. There is a 5-10 minute walk out to the location, so please account for that time. Having a few extra minutes will give you the perfect opportunity to make clothing and hair adjustments before your shoot.
While we know and understand that running late can happen, if you are running late your session time will be voided. If I happen to have any openings, I will absolutely try to work you in. If I don’t have any openings, you will be given a credit (good for 1 year) to be used at a future date. To respect all families attending I have to have a hard policy on this. Please PLAN to be ready 15 minutes BEFORE! There will be NO REFUNDS for late or missed sessions.
Q: How do we sign up for a Mini-Session?
A: Signing up is EASY! Just click the booking button and select your location and shoot time!
Q: How much are Mini-Sessions? How do we pay?
A: Sessions are $275 which include multiple background options, the online viewing and ordering gallery, and high-resolution files. Payment will be required at the time of registering for your shoot. There are NO cancellations or refunds. Please see our rain date policy above. Sessions include Up to 6 family members per family unit (which is you, your partner, children and fur babies. Q: What if I can’t make my shoot time and need to reschedule?
A: As long as we have availability to reschedule your session we will be more than happy to do so. Please contact the studio directly to arrange. If there is no time open, you are more than welcome to find a replacement for your session time. If you cannot find a replacement, I am happy to issue you a credit good for 1 year. NO refunds will be given. Please see our rain policy above.
Q: What about prints? Do you print, or do I?
A: Included with your Mini-Session are high resolution images along with printing rights. You’ll be able to print your images anywhere you’d like. We like to keep things nice and easy around here so you have the option to order prints right from your gallery as well! These will be additional orders and made after the Mini-Session is returned to you.
