Michaela Davis-Meehan BIG MOUNTAIN SNOWBOARDER

About

Michaela Davis-Meehan is a big mountain snowboarder from Australia. Michaela kicked off her Freeride World Tour career with a splash in 2020. Along with taking Silver in Hakuba, Japan, Michaela took home the Gold in Andorra and became the first Australian to take Gold in any discipline on the Tour. With the Verbier Xtreme Grand Finale cancelled due to COVID, Michaela finished the season in 2nd overall.

2021 saw Michaela finish 6th overall during a rough year with Covid issues around the globe. 2022 was another solid year for Michaela on the FWQ with a win at Kirkwood and 3rd place overall.

In 2023, it was game on again with Michaela back on the FWT as a Wildcard - the first snowboarder from Australia to be given this honor. Michaela won the FWT event in Kicking Horse, Canada with the highest score for a female snowboarder for the season. She finished the season 4th overall.

Michaela comes from a slopestyle background having represented Australia at World Cups, World Championships and even having made the Shadow Olympic team in 2014.

She is known for her resilience and big smile. She has overcome injury, and distance from big mountains, to continue to succeed at the highest level. Michaela's work ethic and cross training makes her one of the fittest women on the Tour. She can also produce surf and hiking content.

Michaela's skill and courage in attacking some of the world's wildest mountains is also evident in her foray into big mountain films. Persian Powder documents a snowboarding trip to Iran, with friends, which won the "best film" category at the Women's Adventure Film Tour. Michaela is the embodiment of living your 'best life.' She continuously inspires and encourages everyone she meets to explore more, follow their dreams and fill their life with adventure. Michaela has developed a motivational speaking package focusing on resilience and inspiration for women and girls.
