Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope is a musical revue with music, lyrics, and book by Micki Grant. The music is a mixture of gospel, jazz, funk, soul, and calypso. The show focuses on the African-American experience through vibrant song and dance. The show had Broadway's first Black female director Vinnette Carroll and Micki Grant was the first Black woman to have a show on Broadway in 1972, and win a Grammy for Best Cast Album.
