Carroll 5 Bellmont 0

Wednesday, May 20

The Chargers hosted Bellmont on Wednesday and came away with a 5 - 0 victory over the Braves.

Aiden Stephan got the start on the mound and went 4 innings limiting Bellmont to just one infield hit while striking out 8.

Kellen Harrison and Jayce Richards finished things off on the mound with a very efficient 3 innings of relief. Harrison went 2 innings striking out five and Jayce Richards made quick work of the 7th inning stiking out one. The Carroll staff limited the Braves to just one infield hit on the night.

A leadoff walk to Adler Kellams who then came around on the Riley Geiger single got the Chargers on the board in the first.

In the second, Carter Irons drove in Beckett Hamman who was running for Cooper Nichols who had single earlier in the inning.

Cooper Nichols added on in the 5th whith a blast over the left field fence. Carroll tacked on in the 6th with some aggressive baserunning by Rhett Swoverland and Eli Neuhouser.

Carroll improves to 14 - 8 overall and return to action on Friday when they host Norwell.
