A look back at Marvine Elementary School - 1976-1977
Celebrating Dedication and Leadership in Education! 🏆 Since 1983, the PA School Boards Association has been honoring devoted local school directors for their long-term commitment. The Honor Roll Service Award is a heartfelt gesture to those who embody leadership, selflessness, and a passion for the future of our public schools and communities. On August 28, 2023, Mr. Colin Dempsey, PSBA Member Outreach Manager of Eastern, PA, awarded three Bethlehem Area School District school board members with the prestigious Honor Roll Service Awards. Awardees: 👤 Dr. Karen Beck Pooley - 8 years of service 👤 Shannon Patrick - 12 years of service 👤 Dr. Dean Donaher - 8 years of service Your dedication lights the path to a brighter tomorrow. Thank you for guiding and nurturing our youth through education!
Pre-Kindergarten Inservice
Superintendent Dr. Jack Silva welcomed our 2023-2024 BASD Student Board Representatives at an introduction meeting. Student Board Representatives will provide a school report at the monthly school board meetings. Some of your students can even grow up to become Superintendent, said retired Liberty High School Mathematics Teacher George Pitsilos as he visited former LHS student and now BASD Superintendent Dr. Jack Silva.

********The Foundation for the Bethlehem Area School District*******

Formerly known as the Bethlehem Area Education Foundation (BAEF), The Foundation for the Bethlehem Area School District began in March of 1999, after a one-year feasibility study. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees made up of members of the community working in concert with, but independent of the Bethlehem Area School District. To move the Foundation forward, the Board of Trustees amended the bylaws to include paid employees and hired a part-time Executive Director in the fall of 2014. Over the years, the foundation has worked closely with school district administrators to prepare programs and opportunities for funding that will support rigor, relevance and innovation in classrooms throughout the district.
