Dear HHIS families,
The beginning of the day at HHIS provides our students with a positive start, an opportunity to socialise, get some physical activity and set the tone for a day of engaged learning. Our youngest learners have what we call a “soft start” in the Early Years classrooms for EY2 and EY3 and in the Year 1 garden for KS1. They carry out their morning routines and settle into their environment. Our older students have time to play football and basketball, climb in the playground or just chat with their friends before it is time to go to class. At 8.25 am, rather than a school bell, we play the national anthem of Thailand. All students stand still in respect while our student volunteers raise the Thai flag. This heralds the beginning of the school day, while showing respect to our host country, Thailand.
Attendance registers are taken by the teachers in the morning. To help us keep an accurate register, please let the school know by 8.30am if your child will be absent from school.

FOBISIA Maths Code Breaker
Y5-9 will be involved in an innovation themed assembly on Wednesday morning led by our Y10 IGCSE Maths students. This is to launch the FOBISIA Maths Code Breaker Challenge, which will begin on Monday 18th September. This is part of a week-long competition involving schools in South East Asia.
HHIS students will be guided in lessons by teachers and then have the opportunity to collaborate in and out of lessons to continue cracking the codes and finding solutions throughout the week.
There will be a variety of levels for all students to enjoy and we look forward to learning all about all their successes.
