What is the Youth Worship Team?
The worship team for youth is modelled after the Venue Worship team that leads us in worship at church every Sunday! It's a chance for youth who love music & God to be able to learn how to lead others in worship by example. This team isn't about performing, it's about the posture of our hearts as we worship! This team has a high level of commitment in both your personal disciplines and your time, so prayerfully consider if this is the right step for you:)
This team is for Grades 7-12 only.
What are the expectations?
- A Heart for Worship - Choosing to worship fully, whether on stage or off.
- Ability - There is some basic musical talent required for this team:)
- Regular Venue Youth Attendance
- Regularly Attending Practices - We understand that occasionally something may come up, but if you can only make it to practice once a month... then this may not be the team for you:)
- Clear Communication - With the Youth Worship Leaders.
- Biblical Lifestyle - This includes growing in your personal relationship with God, regularly attending & serving at church, tithing, and having accountability.
- Preparation - Commitment to practice the songs on your own time.
These are some of our expectations! Once you start the application process, we will lay out the expectations more in depth.
Once I have filled out the application form, what does the audition process look like?
After you fill our the application form, we will set up an audition time with you. Then we will ask you to prepare for a short audition in front of a few of our Youth Worship Leaders! We will reach out with details on what song to prepare. Don't worry— it's not as scary as it sounds! We have an amazing team who understand how nerve-wracking auditions can be, so they'll try not to freak you out too, too much:) In the audition, we will lay out the expectations once again... and that's it! Afterwards, we will get back to you to let you know what your next steps are!
Auditions for the Fall Semester will be held in September on Thursday nights before youth.
