My greatest motivation for the mission is to remember what Christ did for me on the cross.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Give glory to the Lord
Thank you God for providing a place for me to stay in Venezuela for the month of September.
Thank God for miraculously providing the ticket to travel to Venezuela and the 2 countries that I have to travel (Philippines and Hong Kong)
Thank God for the 2 levels of Korean that I studied.
Thank God because in my last class presentation I read my testimony in Korean.
On July 10, a professor from the Instituto Biblico Universitario Steinreich in Mexico invited me via zoom to participate in his missiology class in order to share my testimony and some anecdotes that have impacted my life. Also, I can share my current status in the mission. At the end of my intervention, the students and the professor asked several very interesting questions. Thank God for the opportunity to glorify His name.
On the other hand, I participated via online in a workshop offered by Hope& Health (Oasis Virtual Support Meeting). The workshop in virtual modality with the specific topic: how to handle loneliness while serving as a single cross-cultural worker? Some of the recommended tics I have already been applying, but I learned others that will help me as a transcultural worker.
Korean Class
The second week of July I finished the second and last level of Korean so for the final presentation I read my testimony. Grateful to God for what he allowed me to learn. Now I must continue studying with another type of strategy, reinforcing what I learned and studying new vocabularies.
Music Therapy
A professor and several students from the Department of Music Therapy at Seoul Cybernetic University (서울사이버대학) visited us with the purpose of giving us a music therapy class, I confess that I like music and musical instruments so I enjoyed the therapy. Certainly music connects me with God; it is a great joy to acclaim Him.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Matthew 5:9
From the 15th to the 18th we had a week of training and the topics we studied were the following:
1. The Kingdom of God& Shalom
2. Peace Building Church
3. Conflict Transformation
4. Peace-building stance
5. Implications for work in the DPRK
We are agents of peace, and wherever we are, let us bring the peace that God offers and not this world.
Important information that requires our continued prayer
There is a possibility that the year 2025 I will enter NK, my application has already been sent for a project that may possibly be given the opportunity to proceed. My prayer is that God will guide and direct according to His good and perfect plan. Pray that God will open the right path, if this project is from God that my application will be processed and receive the Yes. If it is not God may he be guiding us to the perfect plan.
My prayer is according to Psalm 32: 8: Lord make me understand show me the way I should go. On you I will fix my eyes.
September 2025 will be the possible entrance to NK if God so determines.
Since 2019 NK has been closed, therefore, no foreigners have been able to enter and during this time they have been making several changes in their laws many of them is against their enemy countries.
But at the same time, they have changed many rules involving foreigners possibly entering. Here are some of the changes
1. Bibles will not be allowed to enter (Before COVID 19 people could enter without any problem with their bibles). Although you may not believe it is true, they could enter with their bibles but they were forbidden to share it, it was only for personal use.
2. Those of North American nationality (USA) will be forbidden to enter. Before 2019 more than 200 Americans were inside, but in 2017 ex-president Donald Trump ordered them to leave the country. Many of those who left are with us giving us training.
How you can pray
For the workers of North American nationality so that in spite of this bad news they may continue to be firm with the call of God in their lives.
May God give strategies to the churches in general so that they can be part of the mission in prayer and financial support. The mission is not only done with those who go but with those who with their knees prostrate before God pray and with their hands contribute to the mission. We are a body of God and I am sure that each one of us has a responsibility in God's mission.
Continue praying for strategies, even if we do not enter with a bible, may God guide us and give us wisdom.
Pray for perseverance, patience, and faith.
How can I continue to remember myself in prayer?
1. For my return to Venezuela, it will be on September 5, two days of travel. May God watch over my departure and entry, may he strengthen and protect me.
2. For the Visa application (Mexico). May God guide the process.
3. God provide a good space to rent in Venezuela during my stay from November to March of next year.
4. God give me wisdom, strength, guidance during my training process with Pioneers.
5. God provide everything for Mexico's training.
6. May I love our Lord more, with surrender. Love His Word, long for His presence, experience His joy, and be a good steward for His glory.
7. There is a possibility that the year 2025 I will enter NK, my application was already sent for a project that may possibly be given the opportunity to develop. 9. I ask for protection for the 2 countries I have to travel to. The first one will be on July 30 (Philippines) and the second one on August 12 (Hong Kong). May the angel of Jehovah be with me and may God use me to bless the people with whom I will spend time.
