Night in Downtown Wichita Falls
There's a certain feel to downtown Wichita Falls after dark. The city is small enough to explore on foot, but cosmopolitan enough to surprise you. In just minutes, you can go from a well-lit sidewalk near Park Central, past a local watering hole where laughter and music pour from within, to a quiet alleyway where crickets sing — at least until they hear the gravel crunch under the foot of an approaching pedestrian. I've spent hours exploring this place with my camera, in the dark hours. Here are a few of the photos from those nocturnal wanderings.
Your senses awaken:
If you take a moment, free from distractions, to just look, and listen, you'll get it. The smell of a pizza baking in an oven... The sound of distant red dirt music... Of laughter that signals a brewing romance.
