About World Mosquito Day
Each year, World Mosquito Day is recognized on August 20, a global commemoration of Sir Ronald Ross’ discovery in 1897 that female Anopheles mosquitoes transmit malaria between humans.
More than 100 years later, we are still fighting this deadly, yet preventable disease. Use this toolkit to help amplify the significance of this day and share our work towards fighting malaria.
