As we approach the second full week of school, I would like to discuss the profound importance of building strong relationships with your child's teachers. I wholeheartedly believe that these partnerships are essential to fostering a supportive and enriching educational experience. When parents and teachers collaborate closely, we create a powerful network of support that greatly benefits your child's growth and development. By keeping open lines of communication, sharing insights about your child's strengths, challenges, and interests, you enable teachers to design their instruction to meet student's individual needs. This relationship also provides a crucial bridge between home and school, ensuring that we work hand in hand to create a consistent and nurturing environment. Your active involvement in your child's education demonstrates a shared commitment to their success, instilling in them the value of learning and teamwork. Together, we lay the foundation for a bright and promising future.

We are excited to announce that Baseball and Softball tryouts will be starting soon!
If your student is interested, tryouts will be the week of August 21st.
*** It is very important to remember you must complete a full application online to tryout! You do NOT need to pay the fee at this time. You will need to at a later date.

SPIRITLINE TRYOUTS
5TH - 8TH GRADERS
We are so excited to announce that Lake Pleasant Spiritline tryouts are happening this week!
Clinics will be on August 22nd and 24th from 3:30 to 4:45 P.M.
Tryouts are August 25th starting at 3:30 P.M.
Don't forget to register your student at www.registermyathlete.com. No fee is required at this time!

We are excited to share that Peoria Unified School District will be hosting a monthly Virtual Parent Presentation Series. Each month, throughout the school year, one of our community partner agencies will be sharing their expertise regarding important topics affecting our youth today. They will be providing quality information, support and resources. August's presentation will be presented by notMYkid on the topic of Teen Mental Health. IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM OUR SCHOOL NURSE
Hello LPE Families,
The Arizona Department of Health Services has recently updated their exemption forms for immunizations. When forms are updated it is required that the new forms be filled out, even if you have previously completed the earlier versions of these forms. If you have completed immunization exemption forms in the past due to personal beliefs, religion beliefs or due to medical exemption, please fill out the new attached forms and submit them to the health office. You will only need to fill them out once, these do not need to be filled out annually.

GIRLS SOFTBALL MARATHON GAME
Last week on Friday night, our girls softball students played a marathon game at Paloma Park. They played for a total of 16 innings!
Way to go Silverhawks! We can't wait to see who makes this year's team!
SHAVING CREAM FUN IN FIRST GRADE
Ms. Denny's class had a blast playing with shaving cream during the first week of school. Look at all the fun these students had!
STORYTIME WITH MR. BAGWELL
On Wednesday, Mr. Bagwell spent some time with our 1st grade students in Mrs. Beckenhauer's class and read them a story. Look how much fun our first graders had listening to a story from our principal!
