It's been an eventful 1st of April at Ingoldsby Academy, with pupils searching for stripy paint and mice escaped in the classroom!
I'd like to take the opportunity to wish all of our families a happy Easter break. On the first day back, we welcome you to join your children and class teacher at 3.10pm to find out about the learning for the term. Class teachers will share a short newsletter for the term ahead if you are unable to attend.
The Snowdrop Snug
Thank you to the PTFA for paying for the sofa's and soft furnishings in the new Snowdrop Snug! This will be a great space for pupils to use at break, meetings, interventions and counselling. Next step- a bit of an external makeover. Ideas for making an ugly porta cabin into a cute little cabin are very welcome!
Winter Cup Success
I was blown away by our very new netball team. The first time playing together, they achieved silver, only losing one match, and have got through to the championships. The resilience and fight they demonstrated made myself and Mrs Bland very proud!
Embedding our values
After Easter we challenge our pupils to demonstrate each value. A complete card can be exchanged for a bee/ star pin badge.

Our footballers had a fab time on Saturday at Grantham town. We didn't win this time but it was a great opportunity to visit the changing rooms and walk out with the players!
A message from Grantham town football club:
It has been great to visit your school over the past season, and we hope the pupils who have come along to the club have enjoyed themselves. We have a special upcoming fixture on Monday 6th April (3:00pm). We’re hosting a historic match, the first-ever competitive derby between Grantham Town FC and Harrowby United at The Meres. It would be great if all schools could help make this a real community event, bringing people together from across the town. We’d really appreciate it if you could share this with pupils, teachers, and families, giving them the chance to enjoy a great sporting afternoon over the Easter break. We also have a special family offer in place to make it easier for families to attend.
