10 March 2026
Dear Colleagues, I hope you are all keeping well as we continue through the spring term. This edition of the Circular begins with an important update on the recently published Schools White Paper which includes a summary of the key proposals and outlines the early implications for Bromley. We have already held an initial review at the SEND Governance Board, and I am in discussion with the Chairs of the Headteacher Forums to identify school leader representatives to join a new SEND Reforms Implementation Sub‑Group, which will help guide our next phase of local planning. Alongside this, the Circular brings together a number of further updates, opportunities and resources from across our Partnership. The Emotional Resilience Networking Event on 12 March is fast approaching, and I would like to remind colleagues to RSVP if you have not yet done so. You will also find details of the Primary Arts Go & See Summer Season, which offers pupils a range of high‑quality cultural experiences, as well as information about the Old Vic’s Primary Take the Lead programme. There are additional opportunities that may be of interest, including Primary Assessment courses taking place this term, RISE’s Focus on Mainstream Inclusion Conference, and the Interfaith Calendar Competition, which provides a creative way to promote understanding and celebration of the borough’s diverse communities. Finally, I would like to highlight the forthcoming mandatory allergy training introduced by the Department for Education. This requirement applies to all schools, and colleagues are encouraged to begin considering the arrangements needed to ensure staff complete the training in good time. With best wishes, Jared Nehra Director of Education
