Exam details

The exam targets and validates the product knowledge demonstrated by an individual with less than one year of experience using HMS. Some key objectives covered on the exam include maintaining room rates, managing guest reservation details, checking guests in and out, posting payment and charges, creating housekeeping work orders, and managing housekeeping assignments.

Note: Maintain certification status by passing the latest version of the exam every two years.

Exam question types

There are three types of question formats on the exam:

  • Multiple choice: You will choose one correct answer from the response options.
  • Multiple select: You will choose a specified number of correct answers from the response options.
  • Matching: You will select from the drop-down lists the option that corresponds with each description.
