Dr. Klein-Seetharaman pays tribute to the Late Barbara Munk, co-founder of Fresh Step Kitty Litter.
In a Hidden Stories special done in collaboration with ASU Online, ASU News, and ASU School of Molecular Sciences (SMS), Dr. Klein-Seetharaman pays tribute to the late Barbara Munk, who was a former Sun Devil, Clinical Assistant Professor, and Associate Director for Operations in the School of Molecular Sciences. Dr. Munk, David W. Colborn, Thomas S. Coyne, and Carolyn P. Emrie secured a patent for their revolutionizing invention of movement-activated odor control in kitty litter in 1983. Dr. Munk was a highly accomplished research who secured four patents throughout her career. She was married to her former ASU class fellow Dr. Stephen Munk, who is also currently the Deputy Director of the Biodesign Institute at ASU. View the complete video and article tributes below:
