You've been selected to participate in a pre-selection Adobe Mission!

Adobe Missions is a crowdsourcing project to collect specific assets for AI and machine learning training. If your submissions are approved, you'll be paid for their use in these projects.

A pre-selection Mission is a small test project designed to identify and select contributors who can meet our guidelines and quality standards for future Missions. Contributors who are approved will be paid for their submission and be eligible to participate in future Missions, which offer larger rewards and more opportunities to submit.

Examples of past Missions:

How to participate: Create a series of 75 original and authentic images of family members engaging in one type of activity from various angles and perspectives.

Why Missions may not be approved:

  • Similar images: Insufficient variety in angles and perspectives.
  • Intellectual property issues: Trademarked designs, brand logos, or third-party works on clothing, props, or locations.
  • Low production value: Poor lighting, composition, or images that look like unplanned snapshots.
  • Authenticity: Images feel too staged and overly posed.

Casting: We are open to seeing diverse families representing various ages, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual identities, body sizes, and physical abilities. We welcome diverse family types, including single parents, same-sex parents, blended, extended, and multigenerational families

Mission guidance: Each submission should include 75 images of the same family members performing one activity showcasing their interactions and relationships. Capture the diversity, uniqueness, and emotional moments that make family life special.

We are open to all types of family activities. Some examples include:

  • Making and eating a meal together
  • School drop-off/pick-up
  • Playtime with kids
  • Homework help
  • Morning routines
  • Bedtime stories
  • Outdoor activities
  • Celebrations
  • Household chores
  • Going on vacation

Approach the Mission as if you are filming a documentary. Consider the narrative you want to tell about your family and the unique aspects you want to highlight.

  • Capture interactions: Focus on moments when family members engage with each other. Look for natural interactions, such as talking, laughing, hugging, and helping each other.
  • High production quality: Ensure your photos are well-produced and thought-out. Pay attention to lighting, depth of field, and composition to elevate your production quality. Use our visual references for inspiration.
  • Document unique traditions: Every family has its own traditions and routines. Capture these moments to show what makes your family special.
  • Authenticity: Strive for authenticity in your photos. Capture real moments and avoid overly staged shots.

Crop & perspective: A variety of images is essential to your submission; leverage focal length, angles/heights and camera to subject distance to your advantage to produce the most varied dataset possible per submission.

Locations: Photos can be taken indoors or outdoors. Pay attention to potential intellectual property (IP) issues such as logos, brand names, and advertisements on walls and buildings.

Clothing: You can photograph your subjects wearing the same or different clothing within each submission. Ensure the clothing does not contain brand names, pictures, or logos.

Lighting: Use natural or artificial lighting as available.

Similar Content: Avoid submitting lengthy series of near duplicates. It’s okay for a Mission submission to include a few series from the same scene, but only to a point. Missions with images that are too similar and repetitive will be rejected.

Please see this link for in-depth information about our criteria for near-similar series content.

Title Your Mission Submission: Provide a brief description of who the family members are and what they are doing.

Example: A hike in the mountains with a young girl, her mother, and her grandmother.
