Parent Survey
THANKYOU! We really appreciate so many of you taking the time to complete our parent/carer survey. 121 families have completed it which is wonderful. I will read all the responses and share these with you before the end of term.
If you haven’t had a chance to complete it yet, the link is attached again below. The survey will be open until Friday 4th July at 5pm.
A Roman Adventure
Year 4 had an exciting trip to Housesteads Roman Fort on Hadrian's Wall this week as part of their history topic. The visit brought their learning to life, with children getting a close up look at real Roman artefacts. Climbing to the fort's vantage point on the wall was a highlight, giving the children a real sense of how location would have offered strong defensive advantages. It was a fantastic day full of hands on learning and historical discovery!
Competition Winners
A few weeks ago, Naomi Barley, a local author, came into school to share some of her stories with Nursery, Year 1 and Year 3 children. She read them on eof her Zig Zag books and then answered lots of questions from our inquisitive children.
She invited our children to enter a competition- they had to invent a new character for her series of Zig Zag books. Each child won a signed copy of one of her books and a cup. Well d
Money Snake Challenge!
The PTFA have one more fundraiser planned before the summer holidays. The Money Snake Challenge will take place in school on Thursday 10th July so please send your spare change (20p coins and below, no 50p or £1/£2 coins) into school with your child on that day. There will be a prize for the longest snake made by each class! There will also be a variety of math's challenges linked to the Money Snake! Mrs Dixon never misses an opportunity to do some extra maths in school!
Transition Week
We have had two exciting transition days this week! All our children moved up to their new classes and met their new teachers and learning support assistants. They have really enjoyed finding out about their new year group and familiarising themselves with where things are in the classroom. Please remember that social stories for your child's new class are on our school website for you to look at over the summer holidays.
