project background & overview

Apple Valley’s Kelley Park is a popular venue for various community events, including the beloved Music in Kelley Park summer concert series sponsored by the Apple Valley Arts Foundation and the newly added Fall Food Truck Festival. Kelley Park’s playground, splash pad, large open spaces, and central location make this park a large draw for local and regional families.

Key components of the Kelley Park redesign include: a new playground; a new splash pad with advanced technology that will enhance sustainability efforts and reduce water waste; a new, expanded restroom facility to accommodate more users; expanded on-site parking, including space designed for food trucks to bring more community events to the park; and a new stage relocated to the south west corner of the park with a larger, sloped lawn space to provide a better experience for both performers and attendees. With these upgrades, Kelley Park will become a dynamic community hub, offering a wide range of recreational, cultural, and artistic experiences for residents and visitors.

The total budget for this project is $8.6 million dollars.
