Westonka Stadium

Construction Updates

About the Project

Construction of the new stadium improvements at Westonka High School is anticipated to begin in spring 2026 and is scheduled for completion in spring of 2027. The project will transform the school’s athletic complex into a modern, multi-purpose facility designed to better support students, athletes, staff, and the community. The scope of work includes the construction of a new athletic stadium featuring a synthetic turf field, upgraded track and field facilities, new bleachers, press box, concessions and ticketing areas, team storage spaces, and enhanced spectator amenities. The improvements are designed to elevate the game-day experience while supporting year-round athletic and community use. Site improvements will include new sidewalks, parking lot modifications, utility upgrades, improved drainage infrastructure, and reconfigured circulation for safer and more efficient traffic flow throughout the campus. The project also includes extensive grading, landscaping, and stormwater management enhancements to improve long-term site performance and sustainability. In preparation for the new construction, portions of the existing site will be demolished, including sections of pavement, fencing, utilities, and other outdated athletic infrastructure. Environmental and wetland mitigation measures are also incorporated into the project to protect surrounding natural resources during construction.
