Help I'm Stuck!

Have you ever gotten stuck in battle? Finally managed to beat that cheeky outlaw that’s been stealing your ryo? Challenged your village's Kage in hopes of becoming the new Kage? Maybe you just finished a clan war? Just to suddenly get stuck and unable to move or flee?!
Silence fell upon the land of Seichi when a new evil that had been lurking, hiding in the background ready to strike for some time, finally revealed itself. What evil you ask? What power could it hold? The binding.
What do you mean binding, you ask? Living in Seichi can be super dangerous! There’s always enemies waiting around the corner! But suddenly ninja were getting frozen in place even after they had either won or lost a battle, leaving both ninja to just stare at each other awkwardly while they waited for help to arrive, crying out for someone, anyone to help.
A cry for help?! But who could answer the call? Calling all staff members!
But how can you get your cry out there? Many ninja would go to the Global Tavern to look for help and just hope that someone who could help would see it, but now there’s a better way to be sure that your cry will be heard!
Head on over to the official TNR discord to the User Report Tickets section, and make a Help-I-Am-Stuck-Ticket!
All members of staff can see those tickets and have the power to pull people who get stuck, and when you’ve been set free either you or a staff member will close the ticket.
So remember! Should you ever get stuck and unable to leave combat and you don’t see a staff member hanging out in the Global Tavern, you can make a ticket on the discord.
Robbers Everywhere!

In the middle of dead night, whilst Seichi was fast asleep, a fierce thunderstorm raged across the land. The moon was obscured by dark, swirling clouds, and windows rattled as rain lashed against them, accompanied by the crack of thunder and the flash of lightning illuminating the sky. Amid the chaos, Terr was hard at work, tirelessly implementing new features in the system so that everyone would enjoy. The latest in Seichi came with upgraded robbing and faction features. Despite the storm’s fury, he achieved an incredible feat.
As time goes on, it is clear… not many have chosen the good path; greed has conquered ninjas in many ways. Beware of their unbreakable greed, and to keep your ryos safe from robbers! Employ the ninja way: conceal your wealth with clever traps, use seals and illusions to create decoys, and store your riches in a hidden vault protected by intricate locking mechanisms only you can undo. Trust no one, and remember—the safest treasure is the one no one knows exists.
It is important to get to sleep as soon as you are done with missions or any other daily tasks. This is to help prevent you from getting robbed. While sleeping, you can transfer your money into the bank. It keeps it safe so you aren't holding too much in hand and from robbers who prowl the shadows. The bank offers a secure option to shield your hard-earned ryos from the clutches of those who seek to take what isn’t theirs. However, even banks have limits on the interest given—plan carefully, for no fortress is truly impenetrable.
In this ever-growing world of Seichi, Terr’s upgrades have brought balance and challenge, but the power rests in your hands. Will you outwit the cunning robbers, or will your greed blind you to the traps they lay in wait? The choice is yours. The ninja way is not just about strength; it is about strategy, wit, and resilience.
Stay vigilant, stay clever, and most importantly, stay safe. The storm is just beginning.
Village Features- Call out!
For the mod newspaper we would like to include one article about each village and would like a player from each village to contribute! Articles will be due by the last day of each month, and must be sent either directly to teni, or a mod. If you are interested in writing your village please reach out! I received a couple articles for the first edition but I am still looking for contributors!
Article Guidelines:
- Under 1000 words
- Follow TNR rules and ToS
- Must be a unique contribution written for The Ninja Scrolls
- May be RP based, a general article about the village (hottest eats in Glacier!), a village event (festivals, a high profile marriage, a raiding event), or general politics (who is warring who this month?), let your creativity guide you!

The Legendary Battle

The village of Glacier sat high in the mountains, a sanctuary for war veterans and warriors who had traded battlefields for peace. Its elders, tempered by the fires of countless conflicts, were the stewards of its traditions. When the old Kage passed, a new leader had to be chosen—not through lineage, but through a contest of strength, wisdom, and valor.
Two contenders emerged: Rill, a raccoon with an outsider’s cunning, and Imperius, the angel of Valor, who descended from the heavens with a promise of righteous leadership.
Rill’s origins were a mystery. He had appeared in Glacier only a year prior, a wanderer from distant lands. Despite his small stature and unassuming presence, he quickly earned a reputation for his sharp mind and unmatched resourcefulness. Stories of his exploits spread through the village—how he outwitted predators, solved disputes with clever solutions, and survived in ways others could barely comprehend. But to many, he was still an outsider, his motives unclear.
Imperius, by contrast, was the embodiment of nobility and order. His arrival in Glacier was a spectacle—a burst of golden light against the pale blue skies. He claimed no attachment to the village but spoke with conviction about elevating it to a beacon of strength and virtue. His mere presence was inspiring, yet some whispered doubts: Could a celestial being understand the struggles of mortals?
The villagers were divided, so the Council decreed a week-long trial: Rill and Imperius would face each other in battle, proving their worthiness for the title of Kage.
From the first clash, it was clear this was no ordinary duel. Rill fought with agility and guile, turning the icy terrain into his ally. He set traps, used the natural environment to obscure his movements, and struck with surgical precision. Imperius countered with overwhelming power and unwavering discipline, his every strike a lesson in mastery. Their battle echoed through the frozen peaks, each day bringing new strategies, new blows, and new scars.
The villagers watched in awe. Rill’s cunning won the admiration of those who valued intelligence over brute strength. But his status as an outsider kept their support muted. Imperius, with his radiant charisma and noble demeanor, inspired hope, yet his lack of ties to Glacier made others hesitant to trust him.
By the sixth day, the contest had reached its crescendo. Both combatants were battered and weary, but neither yielded. Rill’s clever traps grew more intricate, but Imperius adapted, his radiant spear cutting through deception like sunlight piercing clouds.
On the seventh day, as dawn painted the icy peaks in shades of gold, Rill stood before Imperius, panting but unbroken. He looked around at the villagers who had gathered, their faces torn between awe and uncertainty.
“I could keep fighting,” Rill said, his voice steady despite his exhaustion. “But I see the truth in your eyes, Imperius. You’re not here for glory or conquest. You’re here because you believe in something greater.”
He paused, turning his gaze to the villagers.
“I came to Glacier because I wanted to understand strength—not just in battle, but in spirit. I’ve seen it in all of you. This place doesn’t need me. It needs someone who can inspire, someone you can follow with trust. That’s not me—not yet.”
With that, Rill dropped his weapon, his striped tail flicking as he stepped back. The villagers murmured in shock, but Rill’s decision was final.
Imperius, battered and bloodied, lowered his spear. “You are wise, Rill. Wiser than I expected. Glacier would have been honored to have you as its leader.”
Rill gave a small smile. “Maybe one day, when I’ve earned it.”
Without another word, Rill turned and walked down the icy path, disappearing into the wilderness. The villagers watched him go, many feeling a pang of regret, others a sense of relief.
Imperius knelt in the snow, his golden armor catching the morning light. He swore an oath to serve Glacier, not as a ruler, but as a protector, promising to honor the spirit of those who had come before him—and those who had the courage to step aside.
As for Rill, his story didn’t end there. He became a legend, a wandering hero who carried Glacier’s lessons with him, proving that true strength wasn’t in holding power but in knowing when to let it go.
Return of the Legends!

While more ninjas are being trained, some of the legends have placed their faith in returning to defend their homeland. These seasoned warriors stand ready to protect their villages from the countless anonymous challengers lurking in the shadows, each eager to claim the title of Kage. With wisdom forged in battle and skills honed over decades, these legends remain the unwavering guardians of their people, a force no pretender can easily overcome.
Keep up the training—who knows who might be the next legend to rise, carving the name into the history of Seichi and protecting own village with unmatched skill and determination. Every effort, no matter how small, will bring any ninja closer to greatness.
And to the new coming shinobi, to the path of honor, courage, and endless possibilities! You have taken your first steps into a world where discipline and determination forge legends, and every effort you make brings you closer to greatness. Here in the villages of Seichi, you will train, grow, and discover the boundless potential that lies within.
The road ahead will not be easy, but it is through challenges that strength is born. Learn from those who have come before you, draw inspiration from the legends who now stand as your protectors, and embrace the camaraderie of your fellow shinobi. Together, you will defend your homeland, rise above trials, and etch your names into history.
The villages stand strong with you, and the future is in your hands. Prepare yourselves, sharpen your skills, and let your journey begin! Who knows? One day, you too may become a legend of Seichi. Welcome to the fold—your adventure starts now!
