Welcome from Mr Rory Gallagher, Headteacher
Dear Alumni,
As we come to the end of another busy and rewarding school year, I’m writing to share some reflections on this remarkable year with you, our valued alumni.
This year has marked a significant chapter in our story, as we prepare for our move to the new campus this summer. It represents more than just a change of setting; it embodies our continued growth and our belief in providing the very best environment for learning, collaboration and community. We’re excited about how this new space will help us shape the kind of education our students deserve: inclusive, inspiring and forward-thinking.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the journey we are on. We are deepening our focus on developing key competencies such as critical thinking and leadership, preparing our students not just for exams, but for life in a rapidly evolving world. We are committed to ensuring our students are future-ready, equipped with digital literacy rooted in human values, so they can navigate an AI world with confidence and authenticity. Human-centred values remain at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that kindness, respect and integrity guide both how we teach and how we learn.
As always, our alumni are an important part of that journey. Whether by sharing your story, offering guidance, or supporting new opportunities for students, your experiences and insight make a real difference. We were delighted recently to welcome back alumni who hadn’t visited for over 15 years. What struck us most was witnessing their deep connection to the past – the memories, friendships and formative experiences that still resonate – alongside their genuine excitement about our future direction and our upcoming move. Seeing the school through their eyes reminded us that while we honour our foundations, we are building something new and inspiring. Many of you have shared similar reflections about how your time here helped shape who you are today, and it means so much to us to see how that legacy continues in the world beyond our gates.
So, please do stay in touch through our alumni network, at one of our events, or simply by dropping us a line. You will always be part of this community.
Wishing you a restful, sunny summer and looking forward to reconnecting soon.
Warmest wishes,
Mr Rory Gallagher
