Wow! What an action packed half term! 5 weeks flew by - but as always we managed to pack in so much. Here are just a few highlights of an amazing Spring Term 1!
Young Voices
Another year, another amazing Young Voices concert. It truly was an experience to remember. "This has been the best day of my life!" really just goes to show how much it meant to the children! We also got to witness some incredible artists including MC Grammar! Massice thank you to all staff for volunteering their time, and a massive thank you to Mrs.Wilkinson for organising. Please do sign up for this trip next year! You will not regret it!
Coal Mining Trip
Y3/4 were lucky enough to visit the National Coal Mining Museum and even go down the mine!
Victorian's Trip - Cannon Hall Farm
KS1 Pupils also went on a trip to further excite them about their History topic. The children loved every second - and told me all about the amazing food they had made - but not brought any back for Mr.Garrood!
Author Events from Read Holmfirth
As always we are looking for ways to further inspire pupils with reading. We listened to Authors talk to us about their books. Some of us even had a go at adding our own illustrations!
Reading Ambassadors
The reading ambassadors helped Mr.Garrood put on an assembly all about reading! Thank you for giving up your playtime and helping me with assembly! We are looking to put on more pupil - lead assemblies next half term.
Staff well - being
It was so great seeing so many staff get involved in our new initiative to encourage each other to be more active! It's fair to say it is getting competitive for February!
